That was happening to me when i first started wearing them too. All you have to do is adjust the angle you insert it at or push it in farther. Practice makes perfect and i know that sounds cheesy but it does acctually help. :) ]
It's a common problem, but it really isn't a serious problem. You're just not inserting it far enough. If you can still feel the tampon with your fingers once it's in, then it isn't in far enough. All you should be able to see or feel is the string. Hope I helped. ]
Same thing happened to me, I found out I was doing it wrong. Instead of doing it on an angle, I was doing it strait up. It was painful to do anything if I had it in and it took me 6 months to figure out what was wrong haha. It could be that your doing what I was doing or that it isn't in far enough (like everyone else has been saying) Also, try using slim for extra cofort. Good luck, - Meg ]
Try the Junior kind first! ]
Haha. Ok, you sound like me. I was on my period about a year when I was FORCED to use one. But I felt I was ready, so it was all good. Anyhoo, To answer your question, you have probably not put it up in you all the way. I know that sounds completly discusting, but its true. The same thing happens to me all the time. I still havent mastered it! Lol. But here are some things that have worked for me.
1. After putting in the tampon, sort of push as if you were trying to poop. If you feel it then it probably isnt in there far enough.
2. Get a hand held mirror and [I know it sounds gross] but look up there and see if you see the bottom of the tampon, [not the string, the cotton part] then its not in all the way.
3. And this one is probably the most gross of them all but it could help. After the tampon is in you, feel up there and if you feel it right when you are up there, then it is not in all the way. If you have about an inch or two then it is in correctly.
I hope I have helped you. I tried my best to make it as detailed as possible. :] ]
There are a few things that could have happened. One could be that the tampon you used is too big, so it doesn't fit correctly. I would suggest using a regular sized one to begin and if you need bigger, than use bigger. Another thing that could have happened is that it was not in straight or not in far enough. Make sure you go in at the angle that the "hole" is and push it pretty far in, you'll want to stop a little ways before you actually need to. I hope this stuff helped!

its uncomfortable because you didnt put it in far enough. if you put it in the right way, you shouldnt feel it. if this is your first tampon, you should get one of the easy glides, because they hurt less than cardboard ones. tampons are easy. i used mine on my second period ]
