i have this really embaressing problem with underarm sweating. i've always had this problem ever since i started puberty and my sweat glands started, for lack of a better word at the moment, working. now, it seems like i start sweating at random times. heat isn't even a factor, somtimes i sweat after i come out of the shower or a few minutes after i wake up, even if i haven't done anything physical. what's happening to me? and how can i get rid of this problem? please don't tell me to buy those expensive sweat reducing chemical things because i can't afford it. thank you

tiffanyD answered Thursday July 13 2006, 6:51 pm: i totally empathize with you, i had a similar problem. i didn't really find a solution to cure it, but i had ways of getting around it. if you are embarrassed by it, simply get a few cheap white tshirts somewhere and wear them under your regular shirts. they will absorb the moisture so that your pit stains don't show. wear lots of deodorant, and even get some deodorant soap. if it's really really bad, i'd talk to your doctor, you might have overactive sweat glands, and your doctor can help you. drink plenty of water and eat well..that might be contributing to it. best of luck, and i really do understand! as well, once your body has fully developed, and you are done with puberty ( if you aren't already) it should go away, like mine did. take care...and if all else fails, see your doctor! crazyme6 answered Thursday July 13 2006, 3:49 am: sometimes worrying over the sweat being there can make you sweat more..thats what ive learned..cause stress can cause sweating. i think as long as you have a good deodorant, just dont worry about it cause no one else can see it! unless u run around raising ur arms up for some reason..haha! there are certain foods you can eat that that can reduce this too..but i forgot...you could probably find it on google! hottie411 answered Thursday July 13 2006, 1:51 am: you have hyperhidrosis.
dont worry hun, this isnt anything you should really be worried about, because you're not the only one who has it=]
i have it too, except instead of sweating under my armpits, my hands and feet sweat like crazy.
what i did was i just went to a doctor, and they gave me medicine for it, but since i had a really bad case of it, the medicine didnt work for me.
so i just got a one day surgery for it, and now i dont have it. surgerys worth it, because if you get medicine you hav to take it everyday, but for surgery, its just one day and you never have this a problem again.
just go to a doctor and talk it out with him, and he'll give you the right solution
Lola answered Thursday July 13 2006, 1:35 am: hey,
I've read your problem, and i don't see anything ubnormal in what your saying. We all start that stage of puberty, and start sweating alot especially under the arm. Its no problem, and it can't be dealt with except if you shower,(even if you start sweating after that) at least you will smell good, and we can put on the airconditioner, and there are certain sprays that you could put and they are not that expensive, and sometimes actually very cheap.
So don't worry at all, this is totally normal, and all connected to the puberty stage.
