a lot of money. more than 10,000. my mother loves diamonds and has lots of jewelry, and she recently upgraded her huge diamond (1 karat) on her wedding ring to a FREAKING HUGE diamond (2.5 karat). and i know that it cost a whole lot of money. if you're really interested, look up a jewelry store in your local yellow pages and call them up. they'd be happy to give you some prices.

Well... In jewelry magazines, a 1 karat costs about $4,000. I would say multiply that by 9 at least.
