what happens if you finger yourself before you first get your period? Do you get cancer?
Question Posted Wednesday July 12 2006, 5:34 pm
I was about 7 when i first fingered myself; obviously, i didnt have my period then. I also used the pool jet to masterbate. I didn't know that's what it actually was called or that it could lead to problems later in life. I heard that it can give you cervical cancer. I'm really really scared. Is that true, what is the risk, and would I know if I have cancer by now if i'm 14.
shyxgirl answered Wednesday July 12 2006, 8:36 pm: No. There is nothing goind to happen to you. Honestly ive been masterbating since before i started school..(i fell off my bed and something touched my vagina the right way so i started to do it =/) Just dont worry about it. It gives you pleasure...NOT CANCER...Masterbation is very healthy! [ shyxgirl's advice column | Ask shyxgirl A Question ]
Melody answered Wednesday July 12 2006, 8:26 pm: It's crazy, these days everything leads to cancer. :rolls eyes: don't get me wrong, i'm all for trying to prevent cancer, but come on! Now they are saying masturbation causes cancer. It's getting somewhat ridiculous. Don't worry, if you do have cervical cancer (hah) i'd bet anything it wasn't from masturbating before you started your period. [ Melody's advice column | Ask Melody A Question ]
to start off, it says in the article, it develops between ages 35-55. being age 14, that wouldn't make much sense. i've never heard of that. to actually get it, it takes many years. you can prevent getting it. you can do that by pap tests & pelvic exams. your gyno will perform these when you schedule an appointment. there aren't like really visible symptoms (other than tests) but i'm sure you'll notice something. for now, don't worry too much about it. you're still young, but it won't hurt to go to the gyno to get checked out, juss because you did do that stuff in the past & you don't want any infections.
