The athletic training class sounds like it may help you a lot. I am a swimmer and we have these early morning jogs 2 times a week. We also lift weights. Just make sure that you also eat healthy and get plenty of rest.

run and spring. jobb a mile in the morning and do as much spring exercise as you can in the after noon. do it everyother day until you feel up to doing it every day. also jump roap too if you can fit that in. also i think for cheerleading you should strech 1 hour a day everyday. look on the internet for more specific streching exercises.

Darling,
As well as what they other coloumist said, which is true, also they have workout videos in stores that have great stretches. They are not expensive and will help you get in shape and flexible. Also practice your splits and the butterfly EVERY DAY. Also really push yourself don't, say ow this hurts then stop push until you can't take it anymore....but no to much yoiu'll pull muscles. Also if you know any dancer or cheerleaders they can show you exersizes to loosenyour body and get it used to the intensity of cheerleading. Run a little more everyday. You have to take baby steps to get used to exersizing. Eat healthy so your body has more energy for the cheers(they take it out of you) and get cheers(from the internet a friend or a video.) and practice that everyday. Good luck tell me if you get on the squad!
Sincerely,
Vennessa.

Eat healthy.
I'm captain of my cheerleading team, & we always have to run all the way around the football field. I don't know how far that is, but.. I would run a mile. & then also, do the stretches they do, like spread your legs out, & then grab your foot with your arm. & you can also, stand straigh up, & try to grab your ankles. Basically, get flexible. & fit. Hope everything works out! Bye =)

Go on a diet but do not over do it. If you don't make it don't feel bad. Don't starve yourself you and still eat healthy but in less portions.

Please be careful on your fitness and good luck for cheerleading...
