I mean I've been losing weight and stuff, but I do other exercises too, so I am not sure. However, from what I've read online, it worked for people.
And I know what you mean, I was so sick and tired of my weight, I used to weigh like 178 lbs and i was 5'5'' when I was in 8th grade.
At the end of my 8th grade, I was so determined to lose weight.
So here's what I did. I cut down on ALL SNACKS. No soda, no chocolate, no junk food what so ever. And exercised for 30 minutes everyday. Which isn't hard at all once you get used to it.
I don't suggest you buying any of those machines because I have yet to find any results from mine, HOWEVER what I suggest you is to buy those workout dvd and videos they sell at wal mart. You know like Crunch Fat burning workout and stuff. They do work. That's how my mom and I lost weight during summer. And help my weight off.
So now I am going on to 10th grade, and I've been basically working out for like little over a year and I am now around 144 pounds and 5'7'' or so.
So just stick to your work out and healthy diet and you WILL see results! and let me tell you, it feel great and you will get lots of compliments and that will make you want to work for it more!

Wear Sweatpants, you kno with that heavy fabric. Run with them on for atleast a mile at minimum, try to go longer. You will lose that extra water weight but gain some of it back due to hydration. WORK AS HARD AS YOU CAN, the less you work , the smaller the results. Those ab machines help you gain abs, not lose weight. try to jump rope for a minute or more, but dont limit yourself. Good Luck and tell me if you tried what i suggested. [ SULaxStryke's advice column | Ask SULaxStryke A Question ]
LM answered Saturday July 1 2006, 2:01 am: Pilates really does help. It helps you lose weight, plus it gives you a LOT more strength. This will in turn help you in other exercises, such as running (which is a really good workout)
Crunches are also very effective (if it hurts your back, like almost everyone else, use a Pilates mat) or, if you have the money, Ab-Lounges work really well (just try it out before you buy it).
Also watch you diet (I hate hearing this, especially after losing 20 lbs and my 300 lb gym teacher criticized my weight and blamed it on soda, which i didn't really drink). What I mean is, drink a LOT of water. It helps flush out toxins. Additionally, not eating enough can actually backfire on you- it'll switch your body to "starvation" mode, and you'll retain almost everything you DO eat as fat (what you DON'T want!)
Whatever you decide, whether it be yoga, pilates, running, crunches, or a combination of all of them, stick with it, and you'll see results!
LoveSucks answered Saturday July 1 2006, 12:04 am: Running is the best exercise you can get.
I started running at 1 mile, and building my way up to 3[With a break at the halfway point]. Then I swam for 2 hours.
I did this for most of June, and my thighs trimmed down dramaticaly.
And for your stomach, I also did a 20 minute Ab workout non-stop, consisting of sit-ups,super crunches, leg lifts, normal crunches, pikes, and holding my feet straight out about 3 inches off the ground.
After that, I lost about 1 1/2 inches of my waist, and got a nice toned look.
But, none of this will work if you don't eat healthy. You must limit yourself of the junkfood/snacks.
You don't have to do such extreme things, as I did. Although I highly recommend running up to 4 miles. But instead of the full 2hours swimming[I had to, as I am on a swim team] You could maybe swim a total of 30 laps. And gradually go up. As for the ab workout, start out with 10 mins, and go up.
Here are instructions for each Ab workout:
Super Crunches: Lie flat on your back, and bring your chest and knees up at the same time then go down at the same time;Repeat many times. It is much like a sit up, but your lifting your legs off the ground and up to your chest.
Leg Lifts: Lie on your back, have your hands underneath your butt for support, and lift your legs up and down[Don't let your feet hit the ground]. Try to use your stomach as much as possible to lift your legs up. It helps if you lift your head up and look at your feet.
Pikes: Start off on your back, and lift your arms and legs up, at the same time, trying to make your body into a "V" shape. Your arms and legs must must be straight. Your feet may hit the floor on this excercise.
Hope all goes well!
Just drop a question in my inbox, if you are still confused about some of the excersices. [:
