I'm really pale. I mean, my body refuses to tan easily. I mean, I've layed out in the sun for about an hour and I have some tan lines but not really noticable. How can I tan better? I don't want to be the pale girl anymore! Oh and whenever I'm outside, I seem to get a lot of freckles...how can I stop that? Thanks~

Just lay out for an hour or two each day you'll gradually get one or there's always a fake one!!Good Luck!! [ missmissgurl's advice column | Ask missmissgurl A Question ]

Even though you could always use a fake one like the ones they sell on the stored. Also, if you have light hair you could always make it darker. Dark hair makes your skin also look a shade or two darker.
Hope I helped [ H3arts_Collid3's advice column | Ask H3arts_Collid3 A Question ]
The_MoUsY_spell_checker answered Saturday July 1 2006, 12:04 am: Getting freckles is a sign that you've had too much sunlight. Really, even if you don't get freckles, UV radiation from the sun is still bad for your skin.
To avoid freckles, use sunscreen when you go out, and try not to stay in direct sunlight for too long.
Note that sunscreen does not stop you from tanning. If your skin will tan, it will tan even if you have sunscreen on.

I reccomend Jergens Natural Glow! Or Nutragena [sp?] sunless tanner. They both work AMAZING. Because Im a red head with pale skin and it still looks good on me, not fake at all or orangey. Or you could go to a tanning booth. [ xomichelle891xo's advice column | Ask xomichelle891xo A Question ]
orphans answered Friday June 30 2006, 10:48 pm: Dear Friend,
UV Radiation from tanning can lead to all three varieties of skin cancer. As well as having a damaging effect on the immune system, tanning can cause premature ageing, giving your skin a wrinkled, leathery appearance.
Fake tan would be the best way for you to achieve that healthy glow. Neutrogena offers an affordable line of self-tanners that blend well and last for days. Try a bronzer on your face to match the depth of colour you choose. To avoid freckles, stay out of the sun or pile on 30+ or higher sunblock.
Jesserbaby answered Friday June 30 2006, 10:45 pm: i have the same exact problem...you cant help getting freckles. the more you are in the sun, the more freckles you will get. try and use self tanners. or get tanning oil. and no matter how long i try and tan in the sun for, i dont get any tanner, i end up looking like a lobster. so try a self tanner. hope i helped!
brkln_chick09 answered Friday June 30 2006, 10:41 pm: well freckles are just how just how your body reacts to the sun, you cant really stop it. If you are one of those people who are really pale, the reason you wont tan easily is because your body (skin) is more likely to get red. there are too kind of ppl, the ones who tan naturally, and the ones who become red. if you want a tan, the only way you can do it is if you go to a tanning place, but that is your choice. If you dont want to do that, just spend your life, 24/7 in the sun. the first couple of times you will just go red, but then keep goin and you will tan, TRUST ME. (lol) take care
and good luck! [ brkln_chick09's advice column | Ask brkln_chick09 A Question ]
