Do I have an STD or is it from shaving?

Question Posted Thursday June 29 2006, 10:09 am

okay. So I recently started shaving my crotch area. But now it like .. hurts when I have to go to the bathroom. Do I have like an STD or is from shaving? Because I know that area can get infected easily. God, I'm so scared. I really hope I don't have an STD.

well, the whole point of having hair in that area is to block out germs, and bacteria that may try entering. it might be becuase you shaved- but then at the same time- it sounds to me like its too illogical for that to happen. it sounds like something else. i couldnt tell you what- but i dont think its becuase you shaved.

Like the others said, STD's are sexually transmitted diseases and since you havent had sex it's not that.
It's a shaving rash, instead of shaving that area as it's very sensitive, use hair removing cream instead. it's easy and it's painless and leaves you smooth x

You don't have an STD, so don't worry about that. If you just recently started shaving, chances are that you have a tiny cut in that area that you can't see. It will sting when you go to the bathroom for a couple of days afterwards, but that should go away when the cut heals.

YOU CANNOT GET A STD FROM SHAVING.

std's are purely transmitted form sex, so no worries. BUT...

shaving is a bad idea for the crotch area, red, sore bumps will most likely form and your lymphoids swell (thats just a gland in your pelvic area, you cnt see it but sometimes you can feel a bump. its not harmful, just warning you so if you happen to feel a large bump under your skin its not cancer). Now, use bleach cream, veet, or waxing (really doesn't hurt that bad). But sjhaving is a bad idea, it will leave a rash and ingrown hairs.

you are fine, just be more careful =]

no, you cannot get an STD from anything but sexual contact.

Shaving irritates the area, especially if you are a little rough. You could be experiencing some ingrown hairs or razor burn. Or even a small little nick in that area.

If however it burns when you pee, and this feeling continues on and worsens than it could be a bladder infection or UTI, which also aren't STDs, and are unrelated to shaving.
