Okay. so, i know that when you want to eat healthy you don't go to McDonalds. But what I don't know is what you look for on the labels of food I mean, what are things that are good? Low calories? Low Carbs? stuff like that? Also, what types of foods are good to eat if you want to loose about 10 pounds but while also working out? I'd really appreciate if you would help me out. thnx
do's
eat 5 small meals a day
-breakfast..wheat cereal(like cheerios, total..) and a fruit
-lunch-sandwhich and sum low fat pringles or something like that
-snack-something light like goldfish or cereal bar
-dinner-not to many carbs(thats mostly sugar and takes along time to digest and its night time so your body cant really do anything) eat mostly meat and veggies(its easy to break down) but keep the meat in small proportion beacuse of tht fat percentage
-snack2-REALLY REALLY LOW CARBS...like try desert...like fruit(strawberries and melons) and low fat COOL WIP not whip cream(two totally different things)
This diet plan should help you. You wont feal starved or anything. All of these foods provide you with the right vitimins and protiens and all these things help wen your food is digesting and also gives you ALOT OF ENERGY!!
sorry this is sooo long
exercise..you may want to walk or run..around ur neighboorhood...or even streching helps to..
bustaxmove212 answered Wednesday June 28 2006, 9:45 pm: ok well when i was dieting i did weight watchers [the youth program]. what you were suppost to look out for was [low]calories, [low]total fat and [high]dietary fiber.if u really are determined to loose weight you may want to try weight watchers, its not that expensive and you get really good tips on how to loose weight. i dont know how informed you are on this program but i lost 15 pounds in about 1/2 a year. cutting back on portions and self control is a major help, when trying to loose weight. i didnt excersise all that much when i was on my diet [so if ur one of those people who dont like excersice i highly recommend this program]. I hope i helped =] [ bustaxmove212's advice column | Ask bustaxmove212 A Question ]

Since you're aiming for ten pounds, it might be easier to cut things out, or substitute rather than drastically modify your eating habits. Drink 8 glasses of water a day, especially if you are working out. Instead of snacking on cookies or chips, have some fruits or vegetables. If you're a big pop drinker, cut down, or cut it out entirely, you'll be surprised at how much of a difference that alone works. Or you can just keep track of how many calories you eat a day. How to do that is explained here [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) [ Notso's advice column | Ask Notso A Question ]
MikeCFT answered Wednesday June 28 2006, 4:42 pm: All you have to do is look at how many grams everything is. For every gram of protein or carbohydrate, it is 4 calories and for every gram of fat it's 9 calories. Look at the caloric total and see how many grams of each of those 3 there are so you can determine whether its fat densed, carb or protein or nice and equal. You have to stick to the serving size also to get an accurate read. I tell people to not look for "Low" or "No" anything because even if it is deficient in what is said, they substitute it with an ingredient that isn't that great either. All you have to do is use your common sense and not eat things that are too high in fat or carbs and stick to a diet higher in protein since its has less caloric value and doesn't store as bodyfat like carbs do.
