working and friends..
okay soon i will have to go to my moms work for a month to help her from 7am - 8pm.. everyday from monday-saturday .. i dont know what to do cause i dont want to lose any of my friends and no one likes to hang out on a saturday.. and i cant just skip a day cause my mom will FLIP.. you dont understand.. and its like a month not seeing my friends.. what can i do?!

If your friends are true they should always be there no matter what. You having to work should not cause your friends to leave and not talk to you anymore. If they do that then they really arent good friends. There is stuff that you guys can do after eight pm. Your not the only one that has to work. I work 40 hour weeks and i still keep in touch and hang out with all my friends. You will be able to find a way. Talk to your friends and plan out times that you guys can get together and do something fun.
-You sound like kind of young. And working everyday Monday thru Saturday (7am-8pm) Thats 78hours a week. I dont know where your mom works Or what state you live in but 78 hours is alot of over time and you shouldnt be working 78 hours. Im 17 and I can only work 40 hours a week.

That shouldn't be a problem if they are your ture friends. Most of my best friends are away at camps all summer but we keep in touch by mail and stuff and when they come back, we have so much to catch up on that it brings us even closer together. Just try calling them when you get home and the first day you don't have to work anymore, have a huge party!

if they're your true friends you won't loose them. you can still talk to the and call them while your there or after you get home. you can hang out after 8 oclock at someones house, or go out. have a little party from like 8-11, or watch movies or something.

Well, I think you should do what your first answerer said, you know, text messaging, talking on the phone. Also, explain to them your situation, why you can't skip a day, how much you care about them. Tell them that when you finish your working month, you'll be back with them. If they are true friends, they will still hang out with you when you're done working, and treat you the same, and you'll be happy with them. But for now, just keep in touch with them at night, through the internet.

how about.. after 8:00 everynight, you can talk to them on the phone, or online. and keep in touch that way. or if you have text messaging, could you text them while you are at work?
