it is proabbly your interenet connection, this happens to me all the time. If its really annoying you call your internet provider and see whats up.

The connection may be bad. or you have a virus on the computer but in both situation you should uninstall aim && do a virus check then in stall aim over again. And that shuld solve the problem if it doesnt im sorry.

It may just be that the connection gets lost because of the connection around you. Or maybe it could be that the cable whether you have comcast or Direct T.V. could be down and the cable people are fixing the cable lines. Just be patient and try to deal with it until you actually know what is going on.

It could either be a virus, it could be connection problems, or just the AIM. First, try using a virus-protection program and scan for any kind of viruses that may be affecting the AIM program, or check your internet connections. Using dial-up could be a factor. Also sometimes even cable, or DSL modems could, on occasion, disconnect for just a few seconds and sign back online. [If none of those apply] try uninstalling AIM from your computer, and install it back again. If that does not help, use AIM express. Aim does mess up on occasion from server problems as well so it might just be AIM and not you.

Try going into your control panel then going to the add/remove programs. Find your AIM installation and click on it. It should bring up a screen that asks if you want to remove or repair the program. Click the circle for repair then go through that. It is supposed to fix any missing files that cause the program to misfunction. If that doesn't work, try redownloading AIM completely. Delete it from your system and download it again from the AIM website.
If this doesn't help, i don't know what the problem might be. It could be a computer virus that attacked the program, so you might also try running a virus check first.

Hope it helps!
