Barbie's boobs are just there to make her look more womanly.
Ken doesn't have a penis and Barbie does not have a vagina or nipples because it would be inappropriate for young children to see that.
And if it was appropriate to put a penis on Ken, pets would probably chew it off anyway.

The only reason she has boobs is to define her as a lady. They aren't even proper boobs. They're just shaped (with no nipples), which also gives another reason to make her clothes fit better and give her shape.

well this question honestly makes no sense to me.
however, the reason makes sense. barbie may have boobs, but that's because all grown women have them and you know they do and can see them; plus, they're not a sex organ. ken doesn't have a penis because:
one:
most little girls don't know they exist and they aren't visible (unless you live at a nudist colony or something).
two:
the penis is a sex organ.
it's the same reason barbie doesn't have a vagina.

There's no NIPPLES on barbie, so they're not technically boobs, but Ken's area does kinda have a bulging appearance with clothes over it.
It also is a girls type toy, so they're not going to just plop a penis on the doll for all these younger girls to play with.

Because everyone has boobs, even men, though men's are less prominent.
Barbie dolls don't have vaginas, and so Ken dolls don't have penises. The company would also be sued if they had the genitalia on the dolls.
