no. Hello, Jersey Boys won best musical if I'm not mistaken (at the Tony's) of course it's not weird to like them! So what if you like oldis music? I personally think today's music SUCKS! You are deff. not weird, you just have diff. interestes. Yea, I'm probably one of like 10 people at my school who like Queen. Just keep on liking what you like and who cares what people think?!

No, you aren't weird. You're what they call 'eclectic'. You like lots of different types of music and believe me, that is a good thing because these days, most teenagers like your good self write off older music as 'stuff their parents/grandparents listened to and therefore not cool'. The fact is, the older stuff is more...real. There were no synthesisers to change the way things sounded, a lot more people wrote their own music and people back then had REAL talent like most of the singers today could never dream of without voice training.

I'm 21 years old and my absoloute favourite singer/performer in the world is David Cassidy. Pretty much nobody my age or your age will know who he is but at one point, he was more famous than The Beatles. He was 'the' sex God of the 1970's for quite some time and he has an amazing stage presence with a truly rich voice. However, even people my parent's age think I'm 'weird' because I'm a fan and I get some very odd looks when I go to his concerts!!

At the end of the day, you can't worry about how people judge you over the things you enjoy, as long as it doesn't hurt anybody. They may not understand and they may not want to but don't let their narrow mindedness make you close your mind. You like GOOD, TRUE music. You run with that and don't let anyone make you feel you shouldn't.

That's not "odd", at all. I'm seventeen, and I've preferred the 1940's and 1950's music since I was a young baby. (= It's just a personal preference, nothing abnormal.

isis answered Sunday June 18 2006, 11:56 am:
There's nothing weird about it, you're being true to yourself. You have a wide taste in music and that's never a bad thing, it means you have more musical knowledge and will be more interesting to talk to. Have you tried listening to 50's music? That's worth trying if you haven't.

Go ahead and listen to whatever you want to, it's good to not let the older songs die. It's the heritage modern music was based on.

Hope that helps, good luck.

okay first of thats being different if anything. to a lot of people i know different is wierd but the world is starting to realize that being different is great. the key is to always be yourself.. that doesnt necesarily mean dont follow the trends. you can follow the trends and pick and choose the ones you like therefore be yourself at the same time. hope i helped.

your not odd at all. everyone has different tastes in music. you should be happy that you can admit that you listen to that stuff. your music taste will probably change, everyones does but as long as your enjoying what your listening to dont worry about it

HectorJr answered Sunday June 18 2006, 9:35 am:
Nuh uh not at all. Hey if you went to Italy, would u be weird for listening to english music? Kinda like the same thing. Don't let other people judge you or tell you what to listen to when it comes to music. Music is a reflection of your personality. Be you and listen to whatever music you like. After all, its your iPod for YOU to listen to, not everyone else.

Mr_Skittles answered Sunday June 18 2006, 2:19 am:
No. Just because you don't listen to what everyone else does doesn't mean you're 'odd'

Matter of fact you may find people like the fact you don't just follow the crowd.

No, it's not weird at all. I still listen to *NSYNC, Spice Girls, & those bands from the 90's & I don't care who knows it. My friends don't care & people don't judge me by what kind of music I listen to.

You don't have to like the music that everyone else likes to not be weird. Listen to what you like, if you enjoy it, you shouldn't care about what others think of you.
