If you take an allergy tablet, (non drowsy) half an hour before you go to the house this should help prevent some of the symptoms, try not to touch the cat and if you have to touch anything the cat has been in contact with, wash your hands before you touch your face. If you can get allergy testing and treatment this could be a longer term remedy.
If all this does not help, possibly the only thing you can do is to find a family without a cat. The problem with allergies is that they tend to get worse if you try to ignore them, so you do need to think about doing something about this.
Best of luck.

Take any advil and have them put the cat somewhere where it won't bother you, also you could babysit them at your house if you have to!

you could make an appointment with an allergist. i am allergic to cats as well and i got medicine from my allergist. i can be around cats with no problems what so ever now.

if you do not have the time/money to do that, you could always get over the counter allergy medicine. ask the pharmacist for help!

hope i helped = ]]

Take a non drowsey allergy medication before you head over there, ask if you can keep the cat in another room, and try to do as many activities as possible outdoors (it IS summertime). Besides this, there isn't much you can do. Some people are severly allergic and cannot be around cats at all, but others have more mild allergies that canbe controlled.

Just lock the cat in a box so you won't have to deal with it.
No im totally kidding.
But you should tell the cat-owners that you're allergic and ask if they could keep the cat in one part of the house while you babysit in another. Or if it's an indoor/outdoor cat you can jsut leave it's food out there.

Go to your doctor for medicine. If you don't want to go to your doctor you can just buy like Allegra or Clariton (sp). Just make sure they are non-drowsy so you don't fall asleep!

Get allergie medicine prescribed by your doctor!
Or find another house you can babysit for and explain to the 1st house that you have cat allergies and its not possible to for you to babysit for them anymore.

hope this helps :)
