so i want to loose some wait this summer (20-40 pounds) i am not over wait i just feel fat because i have big bones. i was wonder how long should i go to the gym everyday. i dont want to over do it. and usual i only eat twice a day is that health?

HUN! you need to eat 3 healthy meals a day! i'd say special K for breakfast and a sandwitch for lunch and a normal dinner! Your not over weight so dont sweat it in a gym. going to a gym will actually make your bones bigger not smaller! muscle is good soo go to the gym about twice a week and eat healthy, no starvation!

Eat at least 4 times a day. Go to the gym and workout for 45 mins to an hour 3 to 4 times per week with good weight training and cardio...that's all it is, not the big complicated fiasco that so many make it to be.

There is no such thing as having "big bones" making you appear more overweight. I say that because I saw someone wrote you and advised not working out cuz your bones will get bigger! By the time you are 25, the growing process will be complete. After this happens, there can be no more growth - the bones are as big as they will ever be. A healthy weight loss is 1-2 lbs. a week. The 1st step is to boost your metabolism, to do this you need to eat SEVERAL small meals a day. If your wanting to work on your stomach, stomach crunches are the best thing for that. When you feel a slight "burning" you'll know it's working. Running or a slow jog is good too. You asked in your question was only eating twice a day good..no it's not. Your body needs energy and when you only eat 1 or 2 times your body doesnt get all the energy it needs from that so it gets stored as fat. Kind of like a reserve. It's like your body saying, hey she aint giving us enough food to convert to energy so we'll just keep this here, and then it gets stored as fat. lol I know I broke that down like barney style but I asked my husband to help me answer this question because he is a Marine and has to do physical training all the time but of course, I get my answer in military lingo...so I broke it down the best way I knew how...Good Luck

Hi, maybe if your not that fat then just go to the gym for maybe an hour or so a day. Maybe you could bike to the shops, or join a sports group. Anything physical is good. Hope things work out for you. Daniel.

well it is better to eat 3 to 5 small meals a day than 2 big meals. how long you work out depends on how much you weigh. if you are not overweight than you might not want to lose so much weight. i would say that 10 to 15 pounds would be the best. im trying to lose weight myself and just a few pounds can really make a diffrence. i am also big boned so i know what it is like. i would say that anywhere from 30 min. to 2 hours a day would be good and never out do yourself. the most important thing to remember is that you always eat. dont try to skip meals. you will get sick and throw up and you will have health problems. not to mention if you ever try to get back to eating normally again it can make you very sick and you might not be able to reproduce later in life

Thats a lot of weight, might take longer than just the summer. Anyhow, ideally you should be doing a combination of cardio and weights. Three times a week of each with one rest day would be a good program.

Eating twice a day is no good. Aim to eat 4-6 small meals a day. Divide your calories relatively evenly between these meals, eating slightly more before workouts. Eating often boosts your metabolism and is a key part of losing weight.
