Alright, so whenever I wash my hair it is frizzyish and dull afterwards. I usually wash with hot or lukewarm water and I put like 5 drops(Whatever they are) of shampoo. Then I wash it for 20-40 minutes. I tried blowdrying it afterwards but it's still the same.
What am I doing wrong? -__-' I need to know now please! I have to do a play and I want to go with shiny nice hair and it's in a few hours so yeah.
Additional info, added Thursday June 8 2006, 4:28 pm: Btw, I haven't washed my hair yet, I'm ABOUT to if I could just know a way to stop my hair from being dull and frizzy afterwards.
queenhearts answered Thursday June 8 2006, 7:01 pm: You have to wash your hair in warm water. Hot isn't really good for your hair. Get a little more shampoo into your hand, rub it together and lather up your scalp really good. You should try a deep conditioning treatment.
Wrap your hair up in a towel for at least 10 minutes so the towel soaks up the water. It seems to dry faster this way.
Don't blowdry your hair on its high setting. Try to do it on the lowest setting, because the hot damages your hair= frizzyish.
While your hair is damp, get an anti frizz product [serum or hairspray] and put it through your hair. Let it airdry or blowdry it a little on its lowest setting. [ queenhearts's advice column | Ask queenhearts A Question ]
isis answered Thursday June 8 2006, 6:44 pm: You are spending far too long washing your hair and not using enough shampoo. The amount you are using at the moment would be ok if your hair is a short back and sides.
If your hair is shoulder length you would need at least a palm full of shampoo, more if it's longer. Spend no more than five minutes on the wash unless you have really long hair, otherwise you will damage the shaft of the hair and overstimulate your scalp.
For a quick fix, after the shampoo, massage the conditioner you have into your hair, comb gently through, wrap it in clear film, wrap a warm towel round that and wait for 5-10 minutes. Then rinse with cold water. Blow dry down the hair as this will encourage the follicles to lay flatter, when they stand out it makes hair look frizzy.
For a longer fix you need a good protein conditioner and follow as above.
As blowdrying can dry and damage the hair, try to use a protecting spray.
If you can afford them, straighteners are good, but you have to be careful again of the heat, use a protecting spray, GHD are a good make, but they do get very hot.
Finish off with a moisturising, shimmer cream lightly applied and you should have shiny hair.
Hope that helps, good luck. [ isis's advice column | Ask isis A Question ]

it could be how you wash your hair, so here's how to properly wash it;;
when you get in the shower, wet your hair completely.. drench it. then put an amount of shampoo in your palm about the size of if you were to make an "O" with your pointer finger and thumb, only a little bigger. (sorry, i don't know how to explain that.. haha) then just rub it all over your hair.. make sure it's completely rinsed out, go upside down if you need to. do the same with conditioner.. except you only need to put it at the bottom of your hair, not really on your head because then it's difficult to throughly rinse out. rub that in, and it's good to let it sit there for a few minutes.. take this time to shave your legs or wash your body or to do anything else you do in the shower. when you're done, rinse it out, again it's good to go upside down to ensure that it's all out. put your hair in a towel, and towel dry it a little. comb it to get all the knots out. towel dry it a little bit again, then go get dressed or do something so it can air-dry a little bit. brush/comb it through one more time, and blow dry it. it's good to run a brush or a comb through your hair and go upside down while blowdrying, to get the job done faster and better. even if you have straight hair, you can use a hair straightener to tame some of the frizz, that's what i do sometimes. you can also spray your hair with a little bit of hair spray.. but brush it out after you spray so it doesn't mat your hair down. i use this stuff called "spoil me" by bed head.. it's like hair tamer.. you can get it at any salon or some other place where they sell good hair products. it works really good & smells good too =) whoa, long answer.. hope it helped!! ♥ [ BL0NDExAMBiiTii0N's advice column | Ask BL0NDExAMBiiTii0N A Question ]
iilOVehiiMx3 answered Thursday June 8 2006, 5:32 pm: you are only using 5 drops of shampoo!! use like 20 drops. also, you could go and get it straightened and they will put a frizz control on there. a reccomended place where i go is MasterCuts...that is in the mall. also there is something called CONDITIONER! that smooths it out. also try to wash it for 2-5 minutes. if you need any more advice..either e-mail me or IM me on AIM.
