k so i'm 14/f and i'm really fair skinned and for some reason i can't find out how to get a natural tan (without using a bed or spray or self tanner) i mean real tan from being outside. How low long dose it usually take to get one? and is there anything i could put on to get a tan while i'm outside?
clearlypink428 answered Sunday June 4 2006, 6:00 pm: time depends on a lot of things. so i cant really help you on that- its all genetics, but what i can recommend is a tanning lotion. doesnt have to be expensive but make sure it has some kind of spf in it. apply that all over, and when youre laying out- when laying on your back- apply a tanning oil to all exposed parts of your body. when about to lay on your back have a little assistance in applying it on your backside. i wouldnt recommend aplying the oilallover before you lay down- because it can get really uncomfortable. just put it on which ever side of your body youre about to tan. hope i helped!
p.s.
hawaiian tropic works real good. but any kind will do. [ clearlypink428's advice column | Ask clearlypink428 A Question ]
Sherrys_sister answered Saturday June 3 2006, 12:49 pm: It all depends on how well you tan. I can get dark within the hour... some peiple I know it would take 4 hours! You just need to be outside everyday and you'll see tan lines from your bathing suit. Eventually. [ Sherrys_sister's advice column | Ask Sherrys_sister A Question ]
Sherry answered Saturday June 3 2006, 12:33 pm: It usually takes hours and hours before you see a small difference. And you'll have to swim everyday to see a difference within the week. But dont pay attention and just have fun swimming! Also make sure you use a tanning lotion with a SPF of like 15 or something. You can get it anywhere, like Target. Just so as your tanning, you dont get a sunburn too. [ Sherry's advice column | Ask Sherry A Question ]
ContinuationSoda answered Saturday June 3 2006, 12:16 pm: you could play in the pool, or rather than being inside, just play outside nonstop. and when i say play in the pool, play because being in the pool gets people more tan than laying ouT and trying to tan [ ContinuationSoda's advice column | Ask ContinuationSoda A Question ]
CiNdYLoUwHoO answered Saturday June 3 2006, 1:25 am: Lay out by a pool. Water reflects the sun, therefore, you get tanner while your by a pool or an ocean/lake. Also, by being in the pool you will get tan, for the same reason. Make sure you apply sunscreen, you don't want to get burned. As the summer goes on, you can use a lesser SPF, but to start, start with something higher. Hope this helps and have a great summer.
