A Floppy From the Past! I need to use a Floppy Disk for a project, and have come across a simple yet perplexing problem; which was and which side up do you put the floppy in? Do you keep the part with the circular part up? Do you stick it in the direction that the metal part is on?
Help would be appreciated!

wow i thought i was the only one still using floppies lol. the metal part goes in, the circl goes down. with computers, generarly speaking, if it fits, thats the way it goes. the only exception i can think of off the top of my head is that a floppy will fit into a zip drive, but thats a bad thing to do. ]
The metal part goes in first. And the circle is on the bottom. You dont have to worry too much cause i dont think it goes in if you do it the wrong way.

the medal end goes into the computer drive first. with the circular thingy facing down toawrds the ground.
hope this helps!! :] ♥ ]
The metal part goes in first, and the circular part goes down. The metal part should always remain on. DO NOT TOUCH THE FILM THAT THE CIRCULAR PART HOLDS. Sorry for the caps. It stores the data, and it will kill your floppy. ]
yep circular bit at the bottom and the metal end goes first into the computer.
All these old fashioned gadgets eh? :) ]
the part with the rectangular metal part goes upward, the circle goes on the bottom.
I hope I helped.
