Make-Over

Question Posted Sunday May 28 2006, 5:06 am

I'm not sure if its "legal" on this site to ask this question, but if it's not, could to re-direct me to a site that could help me?

This monday, I have off from school. I'm giving myself a total makeover. Hair, nails, everything. What I need, and what I have NO experience in, is makeup. Is there a place where I could submit my picture and have people give me makeup advice?

Thank you so much!
Ali

Hi!

I think you should try going to a local makeup place, such as Ulta, dillards, foleys. [somewhere where they give free makeovers] And ask them to give you one. They'll give you advice for what products to buy and what looks best on you.

If you can't do that, i suggest buying your basic makeup supplies, such as Foundation, Bronzer, Eyeliner, Mascara, Lipgloss, Blush. Pick colors that you like and you think would look good on you. Ask the store employee for help choosing colors for your skin.

When you get home, experiment with everything.

This website should help you out a bunch! :]

goood luck!

the best thing to do is probably ask your friends and stuff for advice on that.

they know you well so they know what type of makeup you would like and what would look good on you.

hope i helped ♥

Well how about looking on the google.com or ask.com and type in your request and see what options you have.

Good luck

For your makeup, i'd start off going to the mall (i dont know where you live but the mall in Boston, Prudential, is AWESOME) and ask them for a makeover, or to get your colors done. they give them for free. after you get all made up, pick which ones you like and buy them.

For hair, look through some magazines and pick out hair styles you like and go to a hair salon and ask them to try to do their best with that.

Nails i would say buy some glue on ones at wal*mart, or just paint them yourself.

have fun!!

Better than that you can go to any department store and go to one of your favorite make-up lines like Clinique, Lancome, Channel, etc. and they will do a make over for you. Actually, it wouldn't hurt to try them all out. They can show you the colors and techiques that would work best on you and then you can go to the drug store and pick out comperable colors for less money. You don't have to buy anything form one of their makeovers. You can also check w/the department stores for upcoming makeover events. These are a lot of fun because during these events they give away gifts with the makeovers or with a minimum purchase for as little as $18. I use to be a Business Manager for Clinique and people were forever coming for makeovers w/o buying anything. We loved doing it, so don't worry about that and enjoy yourself.

Namaste!
