it will probably be awkard for not only you but your family to,but you have to tell them. Its a part of our life,no girl can help it. They will find out most likely,so just come out and tell them it may be embarrassing but its your family so everything should be alright. hope i helped!!

Trust me, you're dad and brothers probably are just waiting for this to happen. Having a period is nothing to hide or be ashamed of. If you're the only girl in a house of men, you ought to learn that you have more control then you think. Straight up tell your dad, "I got my period for the first time and I need to go to the store"...if you don't act embarrassed then he won't be either. He'll be so relieved that you know what's going on and don't need a "talk" from him. If you have body questions, ask an adult female family friend, or the school nurse (or me for that matter). If your brothers find out, so what? In all honesty, they are probably scared of you, just act confident.

Well, i think it will be just as akward for him as it is for you. i would ask him for some money to get some supplies and get it over and done with. you could try asking an aunt or one of your close friend's moms to help you out. just make sure you have privacy in your bathroom. if your bro is 18, he's probably a senior? maybe when he goes to college or starts his life you can have his room or just get your own space. remember, periods happen to every female so he knows its comming... i'm sure your bros know it too. they dont have to know when you are on it tho, just dont make it too obvious. <3

I think your dad is probably expecting you to say something at any time! He may be a manly man but he probably knows all about it. Hes the only one who you have to tell. Just tell him quick and get it over with.

If you have a grandma or aunt living close by they may be able to help you tell him if you think it will be to embarrassing for you.

You also really do need your own space. I realize it may not be affordable though for your family. BUT, if you have one bedroom that is bigger than the other, maybe you could suggest a set of bunk beds and one single bed in the larger room for all the boys.

If you have a good sized garage, a room could be made for you there also. Even if it was small at least you would have your own space.

Just some suggestions you might use.
