Can you gain your metabolism back? I recently stopped being anorexic and I want my metabolism to be high again.

Well what I used to do, was that I could eat a whole gallon jar of pickles. The vinegar in the pickle juice helps eat away at the fat, and it produces a certain hormone in the body that will keep on developing it. I went to the doctors about that because I just couldn't gain weight if my life depended on it. They said that by doing that, I had gained an abnormally high metabolism to where I could eat anything. It works great actually, I do it all the time, around maybe every other week or so. Just don't over eat on the pickles or you can get sick:P.

Apart from the exercise, and I mean mainly weights or some other form of resistance training, eat often. Plan your meals so you eat 4 to 6 per day- so ideally every 3 to 4 hours. Each meal should be relatively small and balanced (right proportions of carbs, fats and proteins). This is one of the most effective things you can do, as it tells the body there is plenty of food, and it keeps your metabolism working non stop. Also drink plenty of water.

Kind of. I know you can get a higher metabolism, so I'm sure you can gain it back. For starters, start working out regularly or at least do cardio. When you work out, every week or so make the resistance a little harder (ex. - lift 5 lb weights for a week or two, then switch it up to 10 lbs). This will help your metabolism, especially if you do this with cardio (jumproping, running, swimming, dancing ect.) Hope this helps.

btw - I'm proud of you for eating again.

Well..You could (I can't believe I'm saying this)eat unhealthy foods. Like hot dogs, chocolate cakes...etc. You get a higher metabolism that way.

Good Luck!
