I'm having my wedding dress made in a few weeks, and I need to quickly lose some weight! It was suggested to me to do a high protien diet. What are some good high protein foods i can eat to help me drop the pounds?
Though I should warn you--if you go back to your normal diet afterwards, you're going to gain even more back. With a high protein diet, you have to stay with it, or else it isn't effective. I highly suggest staying with it though, since it's much healthier than what most people eat and it'll probably save you from diabetes, among other serious conditions. If you don't cheat at all, you'll definitely lose weight over the next few weeks. But you need to exercise too. And don't forget the vegetables! They're very important.
Meat and vegetables do get kind of boring though. Hm. You can't have tacos on one of these diets, but you could make a meatloaf (without bread) and use taco sauce, and put cheese on it. I had that last week, and it's very good. There are other recipes, too. Be creative. [ tasuki's advice column | Ask tasuki A Question ]

-Eggs and egg whites (best)
-Skinless chicken
-Tuna (2nd best)
-Jerky
-Nuts sparingly for their fat content
These are your best sources. Don't eat anything frozen like those Lean Cuisine things- just eat sensibly and don't rush it. I promise you that High or low anything diets aren't going to work for you in the bigger picture. [ MikeCFT's advice column | Ask MikeCFT A Question ]
