Okay, one of my friends are bypolar...but i have no clue what that means. I know when he gets really mad, his eyes turn like, blood red and he shakes, i don't know if that has anything to do with him being bypolar any;thing....
People suffering from Bipolar Disorder have very extreme mood swings. Like you said, when your friend is mad he seems much madder than a lot of other people. He will also probably become very unhappy when he is feeling low, and incredibly high when he is happy. You get the picture.
orphans answered Saturday May 6 2006, 2:55 am: It means that they have extremem mood swings. They can go from extremely happy to extremely depressed. They also have more extreme feelings. It's usually the person will only be extremely happy or extremely depressed without anything in between.
Vendetta answered Friday May 5 2006, 8:39 pm: "Bipolar disorder (also called manic-depressive disorder) is an illness that causes extreme mood changes that alternate between manic episodes of abnormally high energy and the extreme lows of depression.
Bipolar disorder may cause behavior so severe that you may not be able to function at work, in family or social situations, or in relationships with others. Some people with bipolar disorder become suicidal." [ Vendetta's advice column | Ask Vendetta A Question ]

tasuki answered Friday May 5 2006, 6:13 pm: A day in the life of a bipolar person is like this:
Morning-I hate the world and I want to die.
A little later in the morning-Well, I guess it's not so bad.
Afternoon-What a nice day.
A little later-I'm really, really happy!
End of the day-I CAN FLY!
That's pretty much the basics, I don't know any of the medical aspects of it, but I think the people who answered before me know what they're talking about. [ tasuki's advice column | Ask tasuki A Question ]
RealisticWench answered Friday May 5 2006, 4:37 pm: Another word for it is manic depression. His moods change suddenly and frequently and are always at extremes. When he's feeling good it'll be amazing, but then suddenly he'll feel bad and it'll be hell. The way he is when he's angry will probably have something to do with his disorder.
