All banks will let you open a sqavings account with a parent/guardian's permission. I doubt if they will open a checking account for a minor without a co-signer and proof of employment. You may want to ask your folks to bring you to their bank or credit union. Many banks also have programs/accounts geared specifically to students.

All banks will let you open an account, but you'll have to get your mom 's permission.

Yah. A lot of banks will let you open an account. (Bank of America, Wells Fargo, etc.) But your parents have to be on the account with you until your old enough (around 18)and they have to co-sign the paperwork.

every bank allows kids of any age to have an account to keep their money. You just need a parent or guardian over the age of 18 to sign the bond, and i think you need that same person if you want to get your money back out.

A good bank is bank of america, or credit union... they have great student plans and even some sort of scholarship deal.

I do believe almost every bank will allow a 14 year old to open an account. You may have to have a parents name on it with you until you are 18 for legal reasons of some sort. But you can open an account.

Have mom take you to her bank and ask them about it. :)
