Vikki27 answered Wednesday May 3 2006, 11:30 am: GHD Hair Straighteners are the most amazing thing in the world!! I have the most unruly hair anyone has ever seen, I'm sure. It just wouldn't do a THING and it was so frizzy all the time. Then I went to a hairdresser than used GHD's on me and they worked SO well. I have never seen my hair look 'normal' until then!
If you decide to go for them, make sure you get some good hair protecting spray or serum, because ANY hair straighteners will damage your hair. Also, try not to use them often or over a long period of time because the long term damage of any good hair straighteners, regardless of protective sprays, is horrendous!! loves2shop86 answered Wednesday May 3 2006, 12:21 am: hey! well someone already mentioned this one, but i am going to say it again because i think it is THAT good! remington wet to straight is the best ever! i have wavy, thick and frizzy hair and this straightener gets rid of all those problems! it gets all the extra moisture out of your hair by turning it into steam... which you actually SEE coming out from the little holes on the side! by getting all the extra water out, it gets rid of frizz and makes your hair super smooth, shiny and straight! it's about $30 at wal mart... awesome deal for such an awesome straightener! also, don't forget to use something to protect your hair from the heat... i suggest aussie heat protectant/leave in conditioner! it's a 2 in 1 product in a purple bottle... it's like 3 bucks and it works well! :) [ loves2shop86's advice column | Ask loves2shop86 A Question ]
duudee_advicer answered Tuesday May 2 2006, 9:00 pm: Some people may tell you to spend $150 to get a Chi or a Coloriss. However, I've had both of those, and neither of them worked any better then the Helen Of Troy, Ceramic Series I had. And it only cost about $40 too.
xLiisten2urheart answered Tuesday May 2 2006, 8:56 pm: Just so you know i have CURLY, POOFY, and THICK! so i know exactly how to straighten my hair :) ; well i would first buy a smoother spray and spray it all over your hair. Then just like take a normal 20-50 dollar straightener and take small sections and straighten it by pieces. You want to be careful because you don't want to fry your hair cuz that causes really bad damage. You also could get a straightener with either Conair on really any other brand that has adjustable heat nobs. But other than that when you get out of the shower just take a brush and hold the dryer about an inch to 2 inches from the brush and just brush it straight. It might be a little fizzy but you can use Treseme fizz away :)
esbeautiful1313 answered Tuesday May 2 2006, 8:49 pm: i use remington wet to straight & it works well for me. my hair is on the thicker side & it's wavy, but it straigtens it well. also you can use it on wet or dry hair. i find it works best on damp hair (NOT soaking wet & NOT dry, but after letting it semi-air dry).
