KELLY_ELIZABETH answered Sunday April 30 2006, 7:13 pm: try eating more filling meals when you do eat. and when you feel like a snack try making it something little and healthy. some cut up fruits or veggies or cheese and crackers. something liek that., or just drink some water. water doesnt do anything bad to your body - so it doesnt hurt at all. all you do is pee it out anyway. :P and it keeps you hydrated when you work out. if you do have a snack try not having it like late at night, cuz you dont burn off any fat whe you sleep, and it all goes straight to your thighs.
RealisticWench answered Sunday April 30 2006, 4:15 pm: Make sure you have three proper set meals a day at decent times, especially breakfast so you don't end up binging during the day. Drink lots of water because often people mistake thirst for hunger. Try to keep yourself busy or out of the house so you're not thinking so much about eating and it's not so readily available to you. Keep more healthy snacks in the house for when you do really want a snack, like fruit. Don't ban any foods from your diet either otherwise you'll crave it, just eat less of the fatter foods. Exercise helps too. [ RealisticWench's advice column | Ask RealisticWench A Question ]
sweetkerry answered Sunday April 30 2006, 4:04 pm: i have the same kind of problem in that i eat because i feel like it. If you want to try and stop eating as much then try and keep yourself busy. I actually forget to eat sometimes because i am so busy. (but you should never skip meals-eating healthily is the best way to stay fit and loose weight) You should make yourself a menu with the foods that you like and concentrate on having three big meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) or 5 or 6 small meals (smaller portions fr breakfast, lunch and dinner with snacks) Eating pleanty of fruit and veg is always good and drink pleanty of water as it washes toxins from your body and therefore reduces the amount of toxins and fats that are stored in your body (e.g. cellulite) Having foods that increase your metabolism will help you digest food quicker and more effectivley so less fat is stored (and it will burn calories) Try drinking grapefruit juice, greentea and lemon juice. Apples are also a good diurectic as well as banannas. Garlic can also be good for boosting your metabolism and loosing weight.
If your feeling hungry then dont restict yourself from eating, just dont eat AS MUCH as you usually would. Like if you waant a chocolate bar, dont deny yourself, just eat 1/2 of it or so. Remember, eating healthy is the best option!
loves2shop86 answered Sunday April 30 2006, 4:02 pm: hey. well, a lot of times when people think they are hungry, they are really just thursty, but mistake their thurst for hunger. i suggest carrying a bottle of water everywhere with you, and drinking a lot of it. if you feel hungry, drink some water. if you don't feel hungry, then it did the trick, but if you could still go for something to eat, have a healthy snack. any fruits or veggies, or yogurt are great for you. you are doing the right thing in eating when you feel like it... that's what you should do. you should never deprive your body of food when it is telling you that it needs it. as long as you eat the right kinds of food, along with the exercises you are already doing (and drinking a lot of water), you should see an improvement soon! :) good luck! helpmebrenda answered Sunday April 30 2006, 3:59 pm: Hi
Sounds to me like you may be an emotional eater. I'm one too :)
Ideally we are only supposed to eat when we are hungry, but some of us tend to eat when we are happy, sad, angry, and bored..that's a big one (for me anyway).
I think the best thing you can do, is try to pinpoint when and why you are eating. If you are eating because you're bored, then go take a bath, phone a friend, go out for a walk...anything to pass the boredom, and the craving.
If you are eating because you are sad or depressed, then maybe you need another outlet. Sometimes people see food as comfort, and will eat to feel better. This only works for the moment, then you tend to feel guilty afterwards.
Try keeping a journal...this can help track your eating, your feelings, and anything else you want to write about.
amyyy789 answered Sunday April 30 2006, 3:58 pm: well if you eat the right stuff thats good for you then its no problem, so maybe just try to pick something really healthy when you feel like eating like an apple or another kind of fruit or veggie because then that fills you up and gives you vitamins and all that good stuff =] [ amyyy789's advice column | Ask amyyy789 A Question ]
