I think its always best tell someone in person.
If you wrote a note it could get lost or misplaced and end up in the wrong hands. Someone could use it for revenge, embarrassment, etc.

It has been proven, that if you write a guy a note he will most likely say no. Ask him in person, guys like confidence in a girl. Also, if jacob didnt like you... why would nathile make it up?

I think you should defintely ask him!!
Life is too short to sit and wait for things to happen...you need to make them happen.
If you get the feeling that he likes you too, then it should be a good experience...once you get your nerves under control :)
Telling him in person, would be your best bet, but I know that can be very hard to do. You could write him a letter, and choose to be there when he reads it. Good luck.
