I'm trying to learn a backflip on the trampoline.. I can do one on my but like jump til you get high and then land on your but and do a backflip and land it.. My friends says it's easier.. but I'm just afraid of landing on my neck I feel like I could do it..I'm going to get someone to spot me.. but it just makes me more scared of hurting them
what should I do to get the backflip?

All that i am tellin you is to keep tryin, dont give up because it makes you nervous or somthin just keep tryin and be cautious dont go crazy be careful and watch out for the edge!!! lol
good luck with your flips!!

Try doing some backwards dives, then work your way to flipping all the way around and going feet first into the water. If you make a mistake, the worst that can happen is you end up doing a belly flop. All you need is someone to spot you to make sure that you don't hit your head on the dock, diving board, or side of the pool. If you're careful about jumping out instead of just up, this won't be a problem. The handsprings are a great idea too. I hope I helped and good luck! BRUNETTE__BABiE__CAKESZ answered Wednesday April 26 2006, 9:47 pm: hey, just go for it. learn to backsrping first tho. yes have a spotter and if you hurt them its not your fault they said they would spot. but let them know that you might hurt them before. you could also join a clinic for tumbling if your really serious about it. cait♥ [ BRUNETTE__BABiE__CAKESZ's advice column | Ask BRUNETTE__BABiE__CAKESZ A Question ]
soccerplayer5674 answered Wednesday April 26 2006, 9:29 pm: Hey, I just learned how to do one this summer! It deffinately helps to learn a backhand spring first like the person below me said because it prepares you for going backward, and your hands are out so it gets you ready.
If that is hard for you get a friend to spot you.
From there you just have to let the fear of doing it go away. I know what its like but if you're scared your body wont allow your self to do it.
MyHappyShoe answered Wednesday April 26 2006, 8:53 pm: first, learn a back handspring on the trampoline. Then work your way to doing it without your hands. When I first started to cheer I had to work on a trampoline and that's how I was taught.
If you can already do a back handspring, then start off doing a few of those and then try to do one but barely put your hands on the trampoline and then maybe just work up to brushing your fingertips instead of landing on your hands. Then, do it without hands all together!
