Shaving is quite normal nowadays, and it doesn't tend to shock doctors anymore. When that fad started, I bet they were pretty confused...

Seriously, don't sweat it. They're there to make sure that you're healthy, not to check out your body parts in a judgemental way.

Hope the physical goes well!

it depends on the guy, if he's a virgin and never seen a chicks private parts in real life, he probably wont notive, but if its a guy who gets plenty and has had chicks who like to maintain thems elves differently then he will notice.

some guys will say something, some guys will be to shy to.

Oh hun i know how you feel,i felt the same way when i was 13 and i had to go to the doctors and a guy doctor had to look down there its a terrible feeling i hate it lucky now i have a woman doctor which i like alot.If you already shave down there then keep doing what your doing and shave it,if you dont shave it then dont shave it because doctors have seen EVERYTHING trust me nothing is too uncomfortable or to gross for them too see they know basically every part of your body they know about womans privates and what not.A doctor wouldnt ever comment on your private area unless he thinks theres like an infection or disease or something is going on down there that you should know about, and if he comments on how it looks or it sounds kind of sexual tell your parents or tell him you think thats a little to inaporriate (sp) to say to a girl your age.But i think youll be totally fine,it might be a little to uncomfortable at first, but youll get through it and it wont be a big deal at all.Good Luck Hun!

Just like the other columnists said, doctors have seen about every part of the body on a whole bunch of people and he won't say anything to you about it unless something is wrong. It's normal to feel akward but it's also very normal if you shave. Tons of people do and on most physicals doctors don't even check the private.. but I'm guessing your doctor is.

Uh, I wouldn't shave it all off because it really hurts to shave it all off. Just leave it, he's a doctor. I'm sure he's seen MUCH more gross things than pubic hair. Just make sure you shower before you go.

Doctors see everything. Literally, every possible weird/gross/odd physical thing you can imagine, they see it. Shaving isn't even wierd, and besides that, they don't much care.

Lots of people shave, men and women, even very young women. I doubt your doctor will bat an eye at it, except maybe to ask you if you are sexually active.

If he's anything like my doctor, he'll make a joke or two about the "bald eagle." Just kidding, I don't think he'll care.
