My guy friend puts his hand on everyone's shoulder (guys and girls) when he's talking to them or whatever, standing or walking through the hallways. What's up with that?
RealisticWench answered Sunday April 16 2006, 10:15 am: I guess one reason could be that it gets your attention. It's easy to ignore someones voice, but harder to ignore someone touching you. If you have a problem with it ask him nicely not to. [ RealisticWench's advice column | Ask RealisticWench A Question ]
ALN424 answered Sunday April 16 2006, 9:55 am: it's nothing. some of my friends do that too, and it's just a way of building rapport with them, to maybe become better friends and connect with them more. hope this helps

On the other hand, I do it to, when I come up to someone to get their attention. Like, "Hey *shoulder touch* what's up? *shoulder release*" A momentary thing. If he leaves it there, I bet it gets pretty akward. [ schlichtinator's advice column | Ask schlichtinator A Question ]
