Try applying ice or warm compresses to the blisters to ease the pain. also let it heal.. avoid sqeezing or pinching - it will only make it worse. use any over the counter creams or anything.

hope this helps!! :] ♥

I would DEFINITELY recommend Abreva. It's like the best cold sore medication out there, and it works beautifully! Also, as well as putting on medication I recommend taking Lysine tablets (ask a pharmacist or someone for the proper dosage needed). Lysine "tricks" the cold sore virus into thinking that it's already spread, so then it stops.

Cold sores go away in 9 days for sure, but get this stuff called Abreva..it's expensive but it works miracles. It's the only non-prescription FDA approved cold sore treatment that is proven to shorten healing time. You have to get it! I get cold sores all the time and I hate my life, but Abreva rocks.

Usually cold sores go away before 9 days. I doubt you have to worry about it too much!

Have fun at prom! Mines in one month. I'm so excited.
