ok so i am 13/f and i know girls can be nasty..
i am on a sports team for school and the first day was today.. its a 7th and 8th grade team and there are 3 other 7th graders that are on it that i am close friends with.. butttt there are about 15 8th graders. half of them are wicked nice and i've known them for a whille. but the other half seem to have a problem with me and my friends. truthfully we never did anything to them! i dont even know most of them and have never talked to them! last year they were jealos of our boyfriends, but im single right now anyways. they talk crap about us during practice and they get my bestfriends ex to call us names. i wanna make it through the seasons w/o any cat fights.

It sounds like the girls are jealous of you and if you don't give them any of your time it will just further piss them off.Which will make them work harder to try and get your attention. Which will make them look completely retarded and they will embarass themselves Personally i love it when girls are like that because i get a lot of entertainment. Just make sure you dont do something really ignorant that could spark a fight..during pracice anyway.
hope i helped.
herbivore answered Monday April 10 2006, 6:24 pm: well, it sounds pretty weird that the eighth graders are mean to you for no reason. i think that the best thing to do (even though you may be nervous) would to go up to the mean people and talk it out with them. you may understand where they are coming from. you cant judge a person until you have walked a day in their shoes. go up and ask them why they are holding a grudge on you. say that you only mean good and you just want to go though the season without any enemies. or you could also ask one of your coaches and ask them to keep an eye out for any of the teasing that is going on. if all else fails... just ignore them, what is the worst that they can do without getting into trouble or kicked of the team! hope this helps :) ♥ ♥ ♥ [ herbivore's advice column | Ask herbivore A Question ]
kim06 answered Monday April 10 2006, 6:17 pm: in this case i think it is best just to tell them face to face that you dont like the way they are acting and that you want to get along and have a good time dont just ignore it or they will just think they can get away with it and do it more often
i hope you work it out

my mom always sed to me "if someone is mean...do the opposite" same thing happened to me.these girls on my softball team though they were "the it" they always brought in doughnuts and ice coffe...all the 6th graders would be siting there hungry and thirsty, while they glom down all the precious food. so ya know wht i did? i brought in dooughtuts and shared w them...next practice...GUESS WHO WAS NICE TO MEE!!!!!!! anywaysdo the opposite..get on thier good side!
JerseyGirl819 answered Monday April 10 2006, 5:28 pm: Dont worry about it they just have to get used to you like in highschool everyone always hates the freshman but once you get to know them they arent that bad. Give them a little time to get used to you because since your younger they feel threatened. [ JerseyGirl819's advice column | Ask JerseyGirl819 A Question ]
