I'm confused why people come here seeking advice and then when they don't like the advice they send horrible feedback.
Just because you don't like an answer doesn't mean it's wrong or bad. Don't people ask for advice to get all the angles and then make an informed choice?
beckss answered Tuesday April 11 2006, 1:42 pm: ignore it. Its not the worst thing in the world but its rude. If you know that the advice youre giving isnt easy to hear, tell them "im really sorry but its true" or "sorry,i know you dont want to hear this but...". If that doesnt work just ignore it. ;)

If you look in the left hand corner of the screen and scroll all they way down is says miscellaneous- under that it says report abuse. Copy everything the person said- the time, there "name" and what they said. Type it in and send it. If advicenators thinks it's serious enough they will cancel or freeze their membership.
haloguy answered Monday April 10 2006, 5:36 pm: I agree. Once I answered a question where someone had a broken keyboard. I told them maybe someone re-arranged the keys and they said "no, i dont think so" and gave me a 1. I'm glad some people dont enjoy giving out 1's like candy. NinjaNeer answered Monday April 10 2006, 4:33 pm: I know what you mean... I gave a girl advice on how to feel better about her appearances... and she sent feedback saying "ya, but you're ugly!" That was a little offensive and over the top.
I just add a note to the end of my advice saying that I'm sorry that they didn't like my advice, and I wish them the best in resolving their issue. [ NinjaNeer's advice column | Ask NinjaNeer A Question ]
ForfeitYourDream answered Monday April 10 2006, 3:59 pm: Feedback is always an iffy thing for me. I mean, yes, it's wonderful that we are able to see where we need to improve and what method of advice a majority of our advice-seekers look for, but some people just leave garbage comments.
To be honest, usually on those types of comments I edit my answer with either an explanation of my answer or a request for them to i.m. me or ask me directly. Sometimes it's just miscommunication or a misreading of the answer.
ThugGirl041790 answered Monday April 10 2006, 3:33 pm: Yes people should look at all angles && make a choice but some people obviously aren`t serious about their question so i just ignore the feedback..Sometimes i feel like i don`t help people but i am very serious && put thought into my answers so if they don`t like it then its fine..
karenR answered Monday April 10 2006, 2:22 pm: File an abuse report. The link is located in the blue column on your left under miscellaneous.
I've noticed that for some reason people think its okay to just accept nasty remarks in the feedback. It isn't okay. So send a link to it in a abuse report. :) [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]
