CELL PHONE!!!
my parents will not let me get a cell phone! i said i would pay the bill every month and also i need it! i am sick of using the dumb broken pay phone at school literally everyday to call my parents.. and when im places with friends and etc im embarrsesed cause i always have to use their phones or use, yay, A PAY PHONE! even my friends that have the most strictest old fashion parents have cell phones! how can i convince my parents that i really need a cell phone!

Silly questions...
a) Why do you NEED a cell-phone? I don't have one, I'm 18 and living away from home : I think it's really more of a status symbol until you're actually driving.
b) Pay phones work just fine.
c) Why do you call your parents every day from school? I didn't know ANYBODY in high school who did...
I think that it's going to be hard to convince your parents that you need a cell phone, just try to convince them that you would be responsible for it. :)

tell them that using cell phones will cost less money because if they have cell phones too and you call them it will cost no money and since you call them on pay phones everyday thats like .50 cents a day. also if there was a real emergency and no friends or payphones are nearby you could use your cell phone to call them.

Ask to just start off with like a pre-paid phone its when you have this little card and then you just add money to it whever you need it so you dont get a bill every month. Explain that evryone had a cell phone now and they dont have pay phone everywhere.

convince them to let you get a prepade virgin mobile phone it is perfect let me tell you! you dont even need a parent to sign for it and if you dont want it anymore then you are done no ending contracts or having to put mins on everymonth.. you but them on whenever you feel (it says every 3 monthes atleast but that is untrue) my parents wont let me get a good phone with a plan either but they thought it was a good idea for me.. showthem how great it is! my parents even let my 12 year old sister get one too and they are super strict and old fashion as well!
