Digital Camrea

Question Posted Sunday April 2 2006, 6:38 pm

My computer is not recognizing my camrea as being plugged in. I've loaded pictures before, but lately it just isn't working. I have the correct cord, I plug it in to the correct spot but when I go to "aquire images" the screen informs me that a camrea is not detected and that I should check its connection. Does anyone know what's wrong?!

I am 99.9% sure that this is happening because you didn't turn your camera on. Your camera has to be on when you plug it in. i know you said you've loaded pics before, but hey this happens to me too and i've done it tons of times :]

- Uninstall the camera program and then reinstall it again

It could be that your camera is just messed up some how. Keep your camera off before you plug it in, and then when you plug it in turn it on
good luck

Sorry if this doesn't help...there are many different things that could be wrong with it. After you plugged the camera in, did you turn it on? My computer was doing the same type of thing when I forgot to turn the camera on. If it isn't that, is there a special setting the camera has to be on? If I were you, I would look at an instruction manual that came with it and see if it helps you out a little. Or maybe the batteries are just dying or the software isn't familiar with the camera. I hope one of these suggestions could help you!

It's possible that your computer has somehow lost the drivers for the camera. Do you still have the software that came with the camera? If so, you can try reinstalling it. A lot of times, a reinstall will solve the problem.
