tell her, explain EVERYTHING truthfully. Try and make it seem like it wasnt your fault without bending the truth. Use a very innocent tone of voice and say it ratinal and nicely.

Well you could talk to the teacher ask if there is any other way to make it up or try to get out of it. Or you can lie to your mom and just not tell her or tell her that you have to stay after for something else. (i dont really reccomned it though cause it could makes thing wrose if she found out.).Or you could just go and tell her after the fact. Or you can just tell her and take it, maybe if you expain it she will be mmore resonable. When i got my first detention my mom was like okay but just dont let it happen again, so just have this one and dont make it a habit.

Hi, first of all I really reccomend telling your mother, because you could make the situation worst by not telling her. Just talk to her, take responsibility for whatever you did. Show her that you're responsible & you know that you did something wrong. If you've never been in trouble, then she'll know that you made one bad decision.

I faced a similar situation earlier this year. I was really scared my mom would flip, but i casually brought it up with one of those "Oh yeah, I got detention on ... from .. to .., I'm really sorry but do you think you could give me a ride?" then went on to explain why I got it and changed the subject back to a more parentally friendly topic. There's really no way to get around it, so just be honest and tell her as soon as possible.

Talk to your teacher, APOLOGIZE for your behavior (((be sure to include what you know you did, it shows responsibility for your actions))) and ask him/her if instead of detention, if he/she can give you advice on how to improve yourself and surveil your behavior for a week or so.

Teachers (surprisingly) do not enjoy giving out detention, and will not if you can genuinely show that you can be responsible for yourself and adjust your own behavior.

It's OK, we all slip up sometimes and get caught. If you know that teacher regularly gives out detentions or is less lenient, it's best to avoid things piss em off and call attention to you or you may find yourself having a very rough semester.

Since I can't think of any options without telling a lie to your mom. You just need to explain the situation to your mom. Sure, she might be a little angry but since it's your first time then she might not be as mad as you think.

Like my mom, if you lie to her and tell her you didn't get in trouble and she ended up finding out then your more likely going to get in worse trouble.

Remember though. No matter how mad she may get she will always love you. If you decide to tell her she will know she can trust you.

There's nothing you can do. Just take the detention and be done with it and then tell your mom the truth afterward, because I gaurantee if she finds out from the school instead of you, you will lose alot more. Be honest.

Best of luck and hope this helped.
