IAmShammay answered Wednesday March 8 2006, 3:45 pm: it doesnt hurt at all. they take out the wire, and then they sort of twist the bracket off, it comes off very easy. then they shave off the glue. its very exciting and not the least bit scary. BlackAngel answered Wednesday March 8 2006, 12:05 pm: It really doesn't hurt, and nothing bleeds. your teeth feel a little weird, kind of like they moved backwards in your mouth, but it's 'cause the braces always pressed into the inside of your lips. It takes a little bit of work on the orthodontist's part of get rid of the glue they used, but it's still painless.
The best part is the feeling that they're finally gone.
Oh, they'll probably give you a retainer too...but that's as painless as the rest of it.

LoViNu2mOuCh answered Wednesday March 8 2006, 12:01 pm: There is not pain at all, like I know that people told me that it hurts so bad,and there would be tons of blood....yeah that never happened. The only thing I didn't like about it was that I had glue on my teeth, and it didn't taste very good! But it is painless. [ LoViNu2mOuCh's advice column | Ask LoViNu2mOuCh A Question ]
Cspinoza1 answered Wednesday March 8 2006, 11:39 am: Its rather a fun process. Well they take them off which is very painless then they get a mold of your teeth so that they can prep your retainer to your adjusted teeth. And thats the end of it.
