sorry didnt know what catagory to do...

Question Posted Sunday March 5 2006, 1:56 pm

okay for the past...5 days i have been sick. and when im sick i normally lose my apitite(spelling?) and eat like nothing. Im much better now and today my mom made me a great lunch (i had no breakfast because i woke up so late) but i could hardly eat any of it. I felt really full after 2 bites. Is this bad? or is it just from being sick?

P.S 15/f if that makes a difference

You were probably just getting used to being sick by that time and so used to not eating that your stomach was a little off balance. Everything should be back to normal soon!

thtz perfectly normal.
you probly just don't have the energy
to eat a full meal yet. i mean, you were
sick for 5 days. you'll probly gain your
appetite back pretty quick, so don't worry.

it's normal to lose your apetite when you're sick. some people even have one meal a day because they really dont have the energy to eat. so it's not abnormal to to feel sick and nauseous when it comes to food during sickness.

its probably just because you`ve been sick and haven`t been eating a lot. its hard for your body to go from eating hardly nothing to eating how you normally do. just eat a little bit at a time and your body will gradually get back to how it usually is. it happens to a lot of people and its no big.

While recovering from an illness the loss of appetite can be expected. So in essence this full feeling is most likely because you've been ill, yes.

If it continues you should see your Dr.

The best thing to do for now would be to drink clear liquids for 24 hours. (jello, tea, chicken broth, clear soda) etc. This will allow your stomach to completely rest and keep you hydrated. After 24 hours eat foods that are easy to digest (soft foods). After that, you should be able to eat as you did before.

Your stomach can stretch and grow depending on how much you eat. Since you haven't been eating alot lately, it doesn't take much food to get you full anymore. Just gradually start eating more and more; don't do it all at once or you'll make yourself sick! You'll be able to eat more without getting full soon.
