Q: i'm pregnate and i'm balimic what will that do to my baby i can't stop cause every time i keep food in my body i feel guilty about it so don't tell me to stop unless you have a good reason why

You need to feed the baby. Do you want it to die? Please don't become bulimic. If just eat until you have your baby and then you can lose the weight in healthy ways.

Q: Okay so my feet smell terribly bad...well...actually its my shoes (birkenstocks...how ever they are spelled)...i wash them out but within a week they have gunk back in them and smell disgusting...its the only pair of shoes i have for now and the smell is embarrasing...is there anyway to keep this from happening because i absolutely dread washing them...

The best idea would be in person. Even if you can't do that, when you watch music videos or artists play, notice their style. Style and the way you play will make you more comfortable with the instrument. Even though you might want to jump right into your favorite songs, learn some simple chords first. That way, you'll have a solid base to build on. Good Luck!

Q: im in choir at school and on the announcements they said that everyone in choir had to go down to the choir room. so we did. and we found out that our choir teacher is leaving after the end of this year to go get her masters and conduct colleges! she was crying when she said it and we all cried too. she is the absolute best teacher. shes so understanding and we all love her. she is more than just a teacher
how can we show her how much she means to us and show her that well miss her SO much?? DONT say stuff like having everyone sign a card or buying flowers. thank you!

What she would most likely love most is something that shows that she taught you something. Maybe you could put together a piece that she loves with the rest of the choir. Or, make a powerpoint preentation. You could even have each member go up and say something they loved about this teacher. Material things don't matter as much, just things that show you care.

Even though it's really hard, don't be jealous for this new girl. Try (i know how hard it is!) to feel happy for them! you know how you felt when you met him? Happy and bubbly? The new girl most likely feels the smae way. So cry those last tears and move on.:'(

Q: I want to tell my friend something..It's a problem I've been having and it's kind of serious. I've never told this friend anything this serious before though. How do I know if she'll accept me and keep it a secret?

You at least know a few things about this friend, so think about what you know. Have they:
-told somebody else's secret before?
-are you comfortable talking to them?
-has this person ever turned against you?
If you said yes to any of these, it might not be a good idea to tell her. But you, as always, should follow your heart. You know this girl best, and if you feel uncomfortable telling her this, maybe it's best to keep it to yourself!

I wanna loose some weight. Like 10-15 pounds. I just need a good way to get started. What are some good exercises? How long do you think it will take?
oh and i have a tredmill if that helps.

Here's some tips:
- Get moving more. Not just the treadmill; who wants to be stuck inside with the same dreary landscape? Go outside and have some fun. Enroll in some sports, run, and enjoy moving. Rollerblading, biking, and riding a scooter are all things that you can enjoy with friends or by yourself, while also having some fun!
-Here's a typical workout plan that might help you:
Morning: Eat a light healthy breakfast, don't skip. Then get moving! Every little way will help. Taking the stairs, walking to school, pretty much just wearing yourself out. Then you'll sleep better, and have more energy for running on your treadmill and such.
-Eat healthy. You've heard this a ton of times, but to stay healthy, eat healthy. Substitute junk food with granola bars, baked chips, and energy bars. Instead of soda, drink water or milk. If you have a sweet tooth a smoothie could cure it. Of COURSE you can treat yourself sometimes, just don't go overboard!
-Get enough sleep. The more sleep you get, the more energy you'll have!
-Keep a positive attitude. Put a smile on your face, and jump into the program!

Q: My best friend is over weight. My other freinds and I are all skinny. Well, I found out she is on a diet and trying to loose enough weight to look good in a bathing suit. And I think that's so great and stuff. She sent me this question on Advicenators on what she should do ... I found out it was her and said we should talk. I'm waiting for her to say something to me. i told me two other freinds.. all four of us are BFs. I'm worried she's on a bad diet. She's been overweight her whole life.Should we talk to her about it? I know if we did she would get all offensive. She doesn't dress for her body type and I don't know what to say. Should we talk to her? What should we say? What if she gets mad? What advice could we give her? I WILL RATE 5S!

You shouldn't worry too much about your friend, but if you notice her not eating at all, losing weight rapidly, or going to the bathroom a lot, you might have to worry! Try to do more activities that keep you moving as BFs, like going outside and taking a walk instead of watching tv or going to a movie. Most likely is that your friend will be helped by getting active. Crash diets usually won't help. But use your better judgement on this one, and you'll be able to tell, you know her best.:)

Q: i have the flu, or at least thats what i think i have. the worst pain i am feeling right now is my sore throat. dose anyone know anything that can stop it? i can have losenges or tyleol-like medicene, for some reason they dont help me. what do you recomend and what do you use when you are sick? thanks so much!

cranberry juice works best for me. Usually the flu comes wih stomach stuff too, so its probably not that!

Q: okay for the past...5 days i have been sick. and when im sick i normally lose my apitite(spelling?) and eat like nothing. Im much better now and today my mom made me a great lunch (i had no breakfast because i woke up so late) but i could hardly eat any of it. I felt really full after 2 bites. Is this bad? or is it just from being sick?

You were probably just getting used to being sick by that time and so used to not eating that your stomach was a little off balance. Everything should be back to normal soon!

Q: I am 14 yrs. old, 5ft 3in, and 140lbs. I am soooo fat. I used to weigh more and lost a little weight which got me to where I am today but I am still extremly fat!!!! For some reason I can't lose any more weight, why can't I lose any more weight? This is so aggrivating! Please help. Thanks

First of all, you're not fat! 143 pounds for 14 years old is NOT that much! But if you still think so, try these tricks:
-Move whenever possible. Instead of taking the elevator, take the stairs. It'll give you a little buzz, and if you get into the habit, it could actually benefit your health!
-Substitute Snacks. Think to yourself: am I really hungry? or am i just thirsty? If you are thirsty, drink some water, or milk even. If you really are hungry, eat a healthy meal, or a healthy snack, like a granola bar or fruit. It doesn't have to be bland, mix it up with fruit salads, yogurt, and even smoothies!
-Get more self confidence. If you feel bad about yourself, think about all he things that are on the inside. Are you a great comedian? friend? artist? Instead of looking at the negative things about yourself, put things in a different light.
-If you're not losing weight still, don't go crazy and start being anorexic or bulimic. Thats not the answer. Your body at 14 might be in an awkward stage, so just eat right and excercise, and see what happens. In your early teens is when you'll prabably gain he most weight. But if you stay positive, you'll reach your goal.

They will most likely get less fatty. If you run, it works your entire body so you will burn lots of fat if you make a habit of running!
