Next time don't bring your friend with you to sit. Make sure you have a lot of fun with the kids, especially the oldest one. Let him/her stay up a little later or bring treats such as cookies. A little bribing always works. Hope this helps.

well..hm..when i had to babysit for these 2 kids and i brought my friend over to just hang out with me until the kids fell asleep and it happened just like your story. but what i did with my friend was i would like um..we made a deal. since i had like so many other babysitting jobs i told her that i would have her over at one of my other jobs. but with the kid i like had a talk with him that his favorite babysitter won't be coming over, but eventually he got over it. i wouldnt exactly recommend this advice thing but it might work for you. ok g2g now! bye! love ya!

Easy answer but you may not like it.

Don't take your friend with you when you babysit.

The kids are just picking favorites because there are 2 of them and they can each have their own personal sitter. Take away the option. :)
