What USB for HpDeskjet3500?

Question Posted Saturday March 4 2006, 8:05 pm

I have an HpDeskjet 3500 printer. Its hooked up to my computer but I forgot which type of USB cable it uses. I have tried googling it but all I have found out is that they don't make this printer anymore. I mean is it USB 1.1? 2.0? It is highly unlikely that its 2.0 because my computer was made in 1998.

If the printer was made in 1998 then it's probably USB 1.1, but USB 2.0 is backwards compatible so it doesn't really matter as long as you have the right kind of USB (there are different types of USB, type A and type B and then big ones and small ones).

Hey,

I used to have a printer and computer made in that year so try the 1.1 because I'm about sure thats what it uses. If not then call the company or get on their web site and provide the information that you gave here.
