13/f, never had bf and friends laugh at me
I am 13 and have never had a bf. All of my friends laugh at me behind my back. I found this out after we had a school dance a couple of nights ago. I danced with this one senior who is kind of on the geeky side, but he's a really nice guy. He's also the only guy who asked me to dance, all the guys in my class don't really like me. Well I found out from one of my nicer friends that all these girls that I thought were my friends were laughing at me at the dance and saying that Lee (the guy I danced with ) was the only guy I could get. They were also laughing and saying what a geek I was for never having a bf.
I was really hurt and felt like crying. Since when is it a crime to have never had a bf? I know girls a lot older than me that arent dating.
What should I do?

Do NOT be ashamed! Girls like that are not worth being your friends. Don't feel that being boyfriendless (lol) makes you a bad person. I think that girls that constantly have boyfriends tend to be.. bratty, have less moral values, and all that..(it is hard to explain). But there is a lot more to life than having boyfriends. Ya, even if you danced with a "geek", why does it matter what everyone else thinks? I bet he was nicer than any of the boyfriends all the girls you know have.
It's just all a game of inmaturity. You are mature. So don't worry about it. :)

its a shame that you call those people your friends. they dont seem like very nice people but then again i dont know them. but let them laugh and have their fun with it. you are in what 7th grade? if you dont have a boyfriend chances are that are that you arent having sex...so when all your lil friends get pregnant at 15 you can show em up n show em you actually have a chance at a normal adolesence. dont beat yourself up about it. girls are teh suck.:) hope i helped

I know that it feels awful rignt now. You feel betrayed by these people and rightly so. Something I've seen time and time again is...the people that think they are sooo coool while they are in school are not all that when they get out into the real world. Oh, and something else? I'd hang out with that geeky senior. It's the geeks who run this world, look at Bill Gates! Can't get much geekier than that or richer.

Well your 13 you have plenty of time to get boyfriends.. Most girls at that age jump in && out of relationships..[What kind of girl really wants that]
I think you probably need to leave those girls alone they are very childish in my opinion && apparently your not like them [Totally your decision tho]

First, realize that you're perfectly normal. You're only 13. I never had a boyfriend at that age either. I don't know why all of these girls are in such a rush to grow up.
Besides, none of your girls have had REAL boyfriends yet themselves. Holding hands in the hallways doesn't count (I mean lord...they can't even get into an R movie yet nor can they drive!). You can tell them that next time they want to laugh at you for being a normal 13 year old girl.
And honey, they're probably jealous that an older boy danced with you. ;) He certainly won't be the last. There is nothing wrong with you and they're incredibly immature and mean to laugh at you for such a stupid reason.
It's a hard age and kids will do anything it takes to fit in. Let what they say go in one ear and out the other.
