Hello
I am a 15 year old. I'll be 16 soon.
I have been having my period since Nov. 2004.
I've had it every month from the 19th to the 29th
This month i didn't get it.
It's never been this late.
I got all the cramps, and the upset stomachs before it.
It just never happend.
My mom didn't get hers either this month.
This is the 1st time it's happend.
summerGIRL_xo answered Tuesday February 28 2006, 6:22 pm: ok well first of all, how long ago did you get your period? if you havent had it for that long it could still be irregular .. however i know that sometimes my period was irregular even after i had had it for a couple years. i asked the doctor about this and she said it was normal. dont worry - it may just be irregular.
also, women in the same household tend to get it around the same time... so maybe you and your mom are expierencing the same thing!
if your too worried, you may want to ask a doctor. but i dont think its that much to be worried about so its ok! :)
Vikki27 answered Tuesday February 28 2006, 6:41 am: Don't worry. There are lots of reasons why you might not have had it this month. Stress, illness, medicine and so on can play huge parts in affecting the menstrual cycle.
If you're concerned, you should see your doctor, to rule out any serious problems. The chances of it being serious are slim but you should really get checked out to be on the safe side. [ Vikki27's advice column | Ask Vikki27 A Question ]
VainTaraLynn answered Monday February 27 2006, 6:51 am: lol. your COMPLETELY NORMAL. Like I tell everyone else when I get this sort of question. I have skipped for 7 monthes before, and ive been getting my period since I was 11 ( im 16 now ). Its completely normal to skip a few times throughout the duration of your teen years. It probably wont become regular till your in your 20s lol so you have nothing to worry about =D [ VainTaraLynn's advice column | Ask VainTaraLynn A Question ]

LoveNJstyle answered Sunday February 26 2006, 5:29 pm: Well there are all kinds of reasons...have you lost or gained weight recently? have you been excersizing too much? those are just some that i can think of...if it doesn't come at all (especially if both you and your mom don't get it) go see a doctor. <3 [ LoveNJstyle's advice column | Ask LoveNJstyle A Question ]
KiSSxMYxPEARLS answered Sunday February 26 2006, 4:38 pm: It`s just irregular[sp]. Sometimes your periods just bounce back and fourth. It happens to all of us girls. If your period doesn`t come back for like, 3 months from now, get checked up. Just to be safe. But i`m sure you`ll get it. [ KiSSxMYxPEARLS's advice column | Ask KiSSxMYxPEARLS A Question ]

Julesianne answered Sunday February 26 2006, 4:19 pm: I'm sure its nothing to worry about. it's normal for your period to be irregular during the first few years. sometimes it doesnt become fully normal until around 18. the first time i skipped a month i was a little freaked out too. but then it came the next month on time. as long as you havent had sex you cant be pregnant. so im sure its just because its irregular. as for your mom, im not positive this is the reason but i have heard several times that if youre around another woman or group of women (like a sports team) your periods become similar. my track team all gets theirs around the same time. that would be the only explanation i have for her. if you need more advice try www.beinggirl.com . theres a lot of helpful information there and an expert advice columnist ( ask iris ) good luck.
