Ways to relax?

Question Posted Friday February 24 2006, 8:05 pm

I had a very busy day. I got up at 5 and rode in a car for 2 hours to the airport. Then I went on 2 planes, one of which had a 3 and a half hour delay. Alos, I had to eat alot of disgusting fast food. I'm home now and exhausted. I just feel like I'm still on the airplane, my mind is wandering, I feel sick, and I am restless. Does anyone have any ways that I could relax? Or that would make me feel better?

Oh you probably have jet lag.
There are some medicines if you feel sick.
Other then that try taking a hot bubble bath =D
or try listening to soft music; watching tv; or just laying down in bed.

Try to avoid loud things right now, I hope you feel better.

OK.. Im not totally sure if you're a chick or a dude, but taking a warm bubble bath helps anyone! Burn some candles & dim the lights & play a soft music. That always calms me down when I've had a long hard day.

Honey, I read this and laughed. Not at you, but just that fact that you and me seem to be a lot alike. There are days when all I do is travel, dealing with delays, people, sucky food. You need to breathe and take it all in. You are at home now so you should feel at ease and comfort. If you are tired but you can't sleep, don't. Try to allow yourself to stay relaxed by watching your favorite movie, going for a walk, sipping green tea or whatever you prefer. If you have any pets go see what they are up to. For some reason if you pet your dog or cat or whatever it may be, animals are known for relaxation. You could take a bath or shower if you wanted to. You could read a book. You could paint or draw if your into that kind of thing. Maybe try pilates or any cardio activity if you are tired or sitting from the plane or whatever. Maybe go out for a drive, hang out with old friends.

If you're sick it's hard to feel better. But just try and take it easy. Try to drink a lot of water and rest. I know a lot of people say this but it is true. Do what you can but don't push yourself over the limit.

Lay down and play some soothing music. Take a bubbly bath like veryone has said. Take a nap and take medicine if your head hurts or you feel like vomiting or anything. Drinking some hot cocoa would help too.

Drink some water, you might be dehydrated. Milk helps calm you down too. Music also helps. Take a bubble bath, it'll help you relax. Of course, that might also make you sleepy. Stretching can be good too.

I say a bubble bath. Just like the girl down there. Try & put some music that you just miss listening to. It gets very relaxing when you do that. Or you can get into very comfortable clothes & just watch movies. Sleep if you want. Just do stuff that you like to do to take your mind off of things.

Bubble baths !! Omg their so relaxing haha. Sometimes when I have a rough day and nooones home (usually on weekends) Ill blast some soft music & like lay in my bathtub with lots of bubbles. I just lay there and close my eyes and let the words of whatever song in listening to go in one ear and right out the other, and try and clear my mind. Its extremely relaxing and feels good =D
