To figure out how to solve your problem, you need to get to the root of the problem first. Why are your grades low? Are you not studying enough? Do you not understand what's being taught? Do you have trouble remembering the details? Do you have too much going on so you don't have time to focus on your schoolwork?

If you're not studying enough, try to schedule study time daily. Once you get into a routine of studying at a certain time every day, it will get easier. Try to study in a place free of distractions. Turn off the tv and tell your family you don't wish to be disturbed unless it's an emergency. If studying at home isn't an option, try your local library. It's generally quiet and you'll have access to more information if you need it.

If you don't understand what's being taught, talk to your teacher. Most teachers will gladly give you extra help if you only ask. Another option is a tutor. If neither of these is an option, try asking someone that's doing good in the class if they'd be willing to help.

If your memory is the problem, try taking notes and writing down the things you need to know. Read through your notes daily. Sometimes reading your notes aloud will also help.

If your schedule is too full, see if there's something you can drop. If dropping something isn't an option, sit down and write out your schedule. If you can, do a couple different schedules to find the one that works best for you.

Hmmm. Everyone made pretty good points. More studying, tutors etc. will all be very beneficial to get your grades up. However, I also agree with what Kevin wrote, life really does get worse lol.

Perhaps what you also need is to find some enjoyable activities in your spare time that may be useful later. Things like playing chess really helps you structure your thoughts and forces you to learn to plan ahead. Reading is always great. Try take up an interest in philosophy perhaps. I personally have found that the philosophy I have read in my spare time has been far more helpful than a lot of what I learned in school. Its really is underated stuff.

Later as you go through you academic life, you will be faced with new challenges that may have little to do with your current school work. Some of the most important skills that you can develop at this age is learning structure and logical analysis. These will always be useful in virtually any career/ study that you choose. They will certainly also help your current grades.

Anyway, good luck and remember that if you can make it feel "fun", it will be far easier to develop your knowledge and mind.

Maximize your career? You're 13. Take it slow. It doesn't matter what you get in junior high. Have fun, life only gets worse from here.

you may need to increase your study habits. if you can get after or before school tutoring from a teacher or ask one of your serious friends to help you out in a particular subject. you also need to see what your strenghts and weaknesses are in a subjects and see what you need to improve. and bascically everything you do to improve make an experiment out of it. for example if it works for one subject try it for more of them..if it doesnt work on one subject then try it on another one, if it doesnt work again then dont try it again and so on. get tips from all of your serious worker friends

STOP WATCHING T.V & GET OFF THE COMPUTER!!

If your school has a tutoring place where you can get help with your homework, start going there. If you have any trouble with whatever the teacher is talking about, ask him/her to go over it again one more time just so you can get it.

In my math last semester I got an F. Soo it sucked. I just started keeping every thing that he gave us together & studied for tests extra more. I asked him to help me a bit after school of what we went through in the lesson that he taught that day. Now 2nd semester I have a B-. :] I know right. Be proud. Anywayss, you just need to be really prepared. Study more. And ask teacher`s for help. :]
