Question Posted Thursday February 16 2006, 2:05 am
I just started working out last week , and every time after i work out, I have these semi-bad headahces that usually last the rest of the night. Does anyone know what this could be??
purpledragonfly answered Friday February 17 2006, 12:18 am: you could be pushing yourself too hard or not eating properly. your breathing may not be correct while you exercise (believe it or not) and hyperventilation can cause headaches and dizziness. check with a doctor or an exercise theripist or even a dietary nutritionist [ purpledragonfly's advice column | Ask purpledragonfly A Question ]
STACEESxADVICE answered Thursday February 16 2006, 8:05 pm: Well, you may be over-working yourself or not drinking enough fluids. Try to even out how much working out your doing so your body can adjust to the schedule. And, make sure to drink LOTS of water. If this doesn't work or the pain of the headaches increase, I would contact your doctor ASAP.
MikeCFT answered Thursday February 16 2006, 2:33 pm: Good answers but it may also be hormonal. Especially since you have just introduced your body to exercise, the hormones in the endocrine system are going nuts. Hopefully it is just dehydration, but it could also come from your body producing a lot of insulin to suppress your blood sugar levels especially if you eat a meal before you train. If you eat before you workout then try not doing that and refraining from high processed sugars, if nothing happens then it is most likely dehydration. Heartwhisper answered Thursday February 16 2006, 2:19 pm: Well, yes water intake is important.... also tension in blood vessels and passages could be an issue.... try relaxing, stretching some before the strenuous workout... also, with this workout routine, if you've been sedentary, you might be kickin' loose some toxins...so be sure to drink plenty of water....look at what you eat, perhaps you body is trying to go along with the workout, but junk food isn't now the right/correct fuel for the ole tank!
Also.... some headaches can come for poor digestion.... don't eat on the run, don't eat before a workout and you should have a bowel movement for every meal that goes into your body!!! Sorry to be so blunt.... but life is life.... good luck I hope this helps a little, I'm no expert at all... just had some thoughts on the issue... have a great life!
