Question Posted Sunday February 12 2006, 6:45 pm

F/14

Everybody is good at something right? WRONG.i suck at almost evrything. I dont't have any hobbies, im not in any clubs, sprots, or anything. I'm okay at some stuff and i can speak/read/write fluent polish, but that pretty much it. I'm so scraed about my future. I don't know what i want to do in college or high school or ANYTHING. I'm scared i won't be able to support myself as an adult and i will be a boring person with no hobbies or anything.

You won't be a boring person with no hobbies!

The best thing I can tell you right now is just stop worrying about it. Even when you go to college, you can be there a couple of years before deciding what you want to do with your life. By then you will know!

Relax, have fun, and what you want to do will come to you out of nowhere one of these days. :)

Everyone has a talent. Some discover their talent earlier in life, and for others it takes much longer to discover it, maybe even half of their lives. Never be down on yourself because you too actually have a special gift or skill, and maybe you just haven't recognized it yet.

Hey,

I know how you feel. I can't dance nor sing so thats 2 things I'm not good at. Are you good with computers? If yes then thats one thing your good at. You stll have time to develop things. You have till you die. So thats probably going to be a long ways. I used to have the same problem. But sooner or later you'll find out what your good at. =D

I'm 15 myself and the only thing im good at is hiphop, and my hip hop classes were shut down. Were young...Highschool is where you start figuring out what your good at some peopel dont even know till their jr year. The important thing is to try hard in school so that you have the option to do whatever you want. So what if you havnt found hobbies yet, Everybody is good at someting you said your good at speaking polish well there so many job oppurtunities for that! you can be a translator. With that on your resume so many oppurtunities are given to you! Finding a hobby is easier then you think you dont have to chase it you wait and try new stuff and one day you hop upon something and say wow i really like this :)

Don't worry, there are many people who can't find certain hobbies, sports, etc. that they're good at. This doesn't at all mean that you're not talented. Start now by getting into a hobby or sport that you really like or find interesting. You could try dancing, basketball, volleyball, swimming, etc. The longer you stay commited to that hobby or sport, the more you'll master it, and you'll get good at it before college. How do you think the greats like Michael Jordan and Ciara got good at what they do? They practiced hard and stayed dedicated to what they do. That's why Michael Jordan is a fanominal basketball player, and Ciara is a fantastic dancer (and she started dancing at the age of 12). I'm not saying that you have to be exactly like these people, I just saying that it would be wise for you to follow their determination, which is what got them to where they are now. So, pick a sport or hobby and if you work hard at it, you will be good at it in n time. I hope I helped and I wish you the best of luck in finding that special talent. I have confidence in you, you just have to have it to!

It's okay to not be sure what you want to do in college. Don't let it stress you out. While you are in high school take the required classes like math and science and use your elective classes to find something you like. Try something new. Take some sort of music or art class. Or maybe join newspaper or yearbook. During high school is when you can and should try new things! There has to be something you can enjoy or would like to try that your school offers.
