They are lice that live in pubic hair. They don't jump like lice that live on your head, so they need to come in direct contact with you. Another thing I'd like to add is that one of my friends got crabs from a toilet seat. This is uncommon, but does happen. They can be taken care of relatively easily if you do get them. I believe they actually give you a pill. The thing is, most people are too embarassed and try to take care of it themselves, which is not a good idea at all. I hope that you never get them, but be assured that you won't get them from not wearing underwear. [ sizzlinmandolin's advice column | Ask sizzlinmandolin A Question ]
alisonmarie answered Friday February 3 2006, 3:42 pm: As long as you're wearing SOMETHING (that no one else has worn), you won't get crabs.
You can get them from close naked contact with someone who has crabs, by sharing a bed with someone (again, with no clothes), or by borrowing someone else's pants that have crabs. [ alisonmarie's advice column | Ask alisonmarie A Question ]
Melanie4981 answered Friday February 3 2006, 3:26 pm: Hi there,
Not wearing underwear will not give you crabs.
The only thing that can give you crabs is if you come into contact with someone else with crabs or you share clothes/towels/a bed with someone who has them.
Don't worry about not earing underwear, no harm will come of it if you don't wear them!
SweetxxIntoxication answered Friday February 3 2006, 2:59 pm: The only way you can get crabs is by coming in physial contact with them or someone with them (ie: sex)
Now, i have learned that it could be possibly if you try on a pair of pants w/o underwear on, there is a chance you could then if the person who tried them on before you had crabs and tried them on without underwear. but this is very unlikely cause most people are *normal* lol.
what i'm trying to say is don't worry about it. chances are you wont ever get them unless you have sex, or fool around with someone who has crabs. [ SweetxxIntoxication's advice column | Ask SweetxxIntoxication A Question ]
Tan answered Friday February 3 2006, 2:27 pm: YOU CANT GET CRABS BY USING A TOILET SEAT. im sorry but you cant. (and you cant get them by not wearing underwear either so dont worry <3 ) The only way you can get them is by having sexual contact by someone who has them. Always use a condom and well... dont do it with someone who has crabs. If your parts dont touch theirs - your safe! hope i help xxxx [ Tan's advice column | Ask Tan A Question ]
ThugGirl041790 answered Friday February 3 2006, 2:25 pm: No not wearing underwear doesn`t mean you`ll have craps sweetie.. Well you have to be in direct contact with it.. Usually from having sex with somebody who has them or from a public bathroom.. Also you`d know if you had it cuz you`d itch in that area.. ♥Dez [ ThugGirl041790's advice column | Ask ThugGirl041790 A Question ]
Cspinoza1 answered Friday February 3 2006, 2:18 pm: The only way to get crabs is to come into direct contact with them. Like by using a public toilet or any sexual encounter with someone who has them. There are also a few other ways to catch them, but just because you don't wear any underwear doesn't necessarily mean you will catch crabs, but possible if you catch them from else where.
