The other night in bed with my bf, I fell asleep and had a dream in which I kissed one of my flatmates, and enjoyed it a lot - this guy is like a brother to me, and although he is attractive and 'my type' (I guess that's why we are friends), I have never considered him as anything more than a friend, and have never (and still don't) wished we could be anything more. As I said, he is like a brother. When I woke up I felt SO guilty.
What could this dream mean, and should I feel bad about it?

Your very faithful and obviously would never cheat on him. As long as you dont want more from your other friend then you shouldnt feel guilty at all.

I believe that dreams are basically a reflection of some of our innermost thoughts. Somewhere deep in your mind you've thought about kissing your flatmate, but it's not something that you'd necessarily want or act upon. Dreams can get really scary in so many ways, but try to think of them as telling the past or present instead of the future. It's just something in your mind and doesn't mean anything unless you make it that way. Would you feel so guilty if you had a dream about kissing a 90 year old? Probably not, you'd likely feel completely grossed out. You'd disregard the dream completely. I don't know if you're religious, but dreams are sort of God's way of revealing things about ourselves to us. You probably never consciously fantasized about kissing your flatmate, so now, your dream helped you learn something about yourself. It's always your choice what you do with the information. I hope I helped you feel a little better and try not to worry so much about your dreams. Plus, it's not cheating to look, and that's all that you did. It's perfectly okay. Don't punish yourself for something you have no control over! Good luck :) [ sizzlinmandolin's advice column | Ask sizzlinmandolin A Question ]

Dreams are considered to be one of the most powerful visions in anyones life. A way to read our subconscious but not full proven. But you have little or nothing to worry about because if you can trust yourself enough to know nothing will happen between you and "dream brother" than you are fine. to be on the safe side just make sure your not alone but other than that you have no need to feel guilty about the dream for dreams like that are very normal and expected to happen.
