okay well i have old beanie baby and pokemon cards left from about 8 years ago when they were very popular and now i no longer want them. i want to sell them on ebay but am i better off selling them now or waiting a few years. is the value of them going to go up or down in the next 5, 10, 20 years?
naimee answered Tuesday January 24 2006, 12:07 am: Haha, I agree with everyone else. Pokemon is NOT a big deal now, as much as it was before. I bought a Charizard for $35 dollars, 4 years ago and Charizards only sell for like $5 dollars now. :) So prime example of why you should sell them now. =]
As for the TY Beanie Babies, I'm keeping mine, because I do believe that they will eventually sell a lot of money later on. They're like barbie dolls, if you keep the tag on them -- eventually they'll be worth something, maybe not 5 years from now, but maybe 10 or 20! [ naimee's advice column | Ask naimee A Question ]
HeartsLiesFriends answered Monday January 23 2006, 9:45 pm: Well it depends. The pokemon cards arent going to get you much, because their basically worth nothing ::unless theres like someone obsessed with acquiring everyone of them:: so i would just sell it now, because nobody is going to want them in the next 5 or so years. However, beanie babies are continuing to be sold, so you never know how that would work out. I guess it depends on the beanie baby, if its like some goose from 1999 then most likely it wont sell, but if it was like the first beanie baby or a collectors one, then i guess you could possible get some money on it. Im not too sure if you should save that for the future or just sell it now, if its a wicked good one, i would personally save it for later time, but if not just go ahead and sell it. :] hope i helped [ HeartsLiesFriends's advice column | Ask HeartsLiesFriends A Question ]

They really don`t cost that much right now, so just try & sell the rare ones that you have or any ones that you think are the MOST popular. Keep the beanie bears for another 5 years & try and sell them on eBay. You don't want to wait so long before they won`t be even worth a friggen penny. =) I love beanie babys. tasuki answered Monday January 23 2006, 8:02 pm: Pokemon cards have no value. A few years ago they were worth a lot, but not anymore. And since Beanie Babies are still sold all over the place, I would wait about 15 years. Preserve them in the meantime. Besides, you never know. If you sell them now you may regret it. "Why did I sell my Beanie Babies?" you might think, "They were ever so cute!" Also, you might have children in the future. Wouldn't it be swell to have an old stuffed animal from when your parents were kids? I think it would be. I'm not saying "Don't sell them!" it's your choice. But like I said, wait a while. I still see Beanie Babies in the mall and they're way cheaper then when they first came out. They're still being collected by young kids and old fans (wow, I sound so much like an old woman it's scary!). And you'll never believe this--I was completely shocked. It's now considered "good" to rip the tags off! I told my little cousin not to because that decreases their value, and she didn't see how that was possible.
DeeSireDiOr answered Monday January 23 2006, 7:47 pm: Hey
You might as well throw out the pokemon cards because they will never grow in value. Everybody still has them and if you ever go to china, the cards are all over the place for really cheap! About the beanie baby i say keep it for another 10 or 20 years. I'm sure the value will grow higher. If you end up selling it now you might get 80 dollars and that's if your beanie baby is a rare one.
